Those who will not fall

Never forget that America is an act of wlll by Americans and it precedes the name all the way back to Plymouth Rock and Jamestown.

Learning to win in life in the real world. It worked for generations and we were wrong to abandon it. In fact, there is noting I know at 70 odd years that dad did not teach me or give me the basis for learning and I’ll bet its the same for you. And that is the tragedy today.

And if we don’t straighten up and fly right, this is the likely result. We see the dim outlines here just as it is more developed in Britsain.

But I’d bet New Albion will be bigger than just Alberta and a couple other provinces.

But remember too that right now we are in the catbird seat. Our President has checked just about every opponent we have, from the Globalists, the Iranians, the Russians, even the Heathen Chinee *where did that term come from anyway. Now we must “continue the skeer”.

Lead, Follow, or Get out of the Way

A damning indictment…

And he is correct.

I believe she well be correct as well, as we move into a new phase of history. I remember a blogger some twenty years ago, the wife of a Lieutenant General of Marines, who commented that we, the keepers of the flame, were the ones who still had the guts and drive to continue to go out into the world to confront evil. Then, as now, it was a lonely position, and something only the gitdy revolutionaries, who are still revolutionary would do. Then Britain would still advance at our side, now it seems to be israel pretty much alone. That will work, at least they won’t have to call France to defend their airfield.

The verse she was looking for is, I think, Isaiah 2:4

And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.

Sadly Starmer seems committed to sitting astride a barbed wire fence, well, I suppose the free people of the world will have to move on, always holding a door ajar for those Brits who tried valoiantly. They too are men in the arena.

To quit now, as so many whinge for would be the same if we had gotten tired of war and gone home after the Western Allies crossed the Rhine and were pursuing the remnants of the remnant of the Wehrmacht. We’ve defeated a country that has been our active enemy for 47 years, and cost us 1000+ casualties, and were behind October 7th. Why the hell would we not finish the job?

The old rule holds here:

If you don’t have time to finish the job, when are you going to have time to do it over”

Uh huh!

John Thune walks on very thin ice, and deserves to fall in, in my opinion.

The Memorial Tablet on the field of Runnymede, placed by the American Bar Association

This is Pierre Poilievre, the Leader of the Canadian Conservative Party, He speaks from Runnymede about the freedoms that Canadians enjoy that come from Magna Charta, which was forced on King John by the barons on this site over 800 hundred years ago.

He is speaking to Canadians, of course, but it is equally true for every Briton, Australian, New Zealander, and yes, American. It is this bond, and some later ones, that make us cousins, for everything he says here applies with equal force to us all. That’s why Canadians denominate their money in dollars, not American ones but Canadian ones adapted for their society, and why Americans vote in primary elections, an Australian practice that we adopted and adapted for ourselves.

This joint heritage and, yes, trust of ours is why we live in the freest lands on Earth. When you hear European prattle on about human rights, you tell them, those rights they are so proud of were imposed on them by Mother England and her robust free children after 1945. This was our gift to the world and it is why wannabe tyrants (even homegrown ones) hate us all. But they haven’t beat us in 810 years, I see no reason we should let the now.

And while we are speaking of Mummy, when exactly is her birthday? Perhaps 13 July 927, 1199 years next year. Funny how all of us in the Northern Hemisphere have our national holidays in July, during the campaigning season. This too is very good.

Sound like a good reason for a party to me.

War Risk

ImageThis is something I heard but didn’t think through. Think of that, Britain refuses use of bases we’ve been using for decade, and then decides not to insure ships providing LNG to Europe, while not defending their allies. Bad for on Stammerer’s part. But there is a reson why back in 1941 at Argentia, Britain acknowledged that the United States was absolutely essential. It was Britain that winh=ged at Europe all through the Cold War that iit was essential to “Keep America in, the Russians out, and the Germans down. But eventually America grew weary of subsidizing Europe by carrying almost the entire cost of defending that continent. That is the real reason we are in the Middle East, so Europe can have welfare states and no military. We’re done. Europe can eithe put on its bigg boy ppants and get with the program or they will be overun. We don’t like it but 85 years of welfarre is enough.

Meanwhile Britain just lost abut 9% of GDP because Lloyds, secure in their monopoly decided a gas crisis in Europe (and the UK) was preferable to insuring ships in the middle east. Sadly the US disagrees and so now we will insure them, with something the UK no longer has to safeguard the investment; a navy. Well, they voted for it, many times, in fact. Here’s the story.

To the Victors go the spoils.

ImageO my!

………History is, as we lmow, a harsh mistress although usually (but not always) she takes more time

It’s hardly the first affront, but its the first that could cost American lives, rather as if, Britain had declared war on Imperial Japan about the rime the Philippines were liberated. Of course, by then India would have been gone.

Yep, out of gas on an island floating on a lake of oil and made of coal, while their people freeze in the dark.

Once again, the peasants (although now they are far more powerful) are revolting. John Ball will tell you all about it. But Stammerer has far less power than Edward II did at 13.

There is a life lesson that comes down to us from the Anglo-Saxon’s:

“Secrets shall be uncovered

and lies shall be harshly repaid”

from the Durham Proverbs

“The sailor should be at sea,

the Warrior on the battlefield,

and the scholar in the library”

How the West Was Won

I think we all know this one but it never hurts to remind people yhat we are the one that got on the boat, or as we used to say out here, The cowards never started, the weak died along the way, the remnant  became the Americans.
