Can I get a Hallelujah please?! SCHOOL IS OUT!!
So far my summer has been wonderful!! We spent the first few days up in the BC where we enjoyed our families and got to escape the heat for a few days! It was a packed weekend and not once did I get to sleep in so that was a major bummer but its ok! We headed up to Brigham around 9:30 pm when Taylor got off work on thursday night, got to BC around 3 am, had to be out at my dads work to do hours for my scholarship at 7, eye doctors appt at 10, CRASH and sleep for 3 hours, dinner and baseball games. PHEW! See what I mean? no down time (minus that 3 hour nap :)) and that is only day one!!
Day 2- Back to the eye doctor at 8 to have him check to make sure the contacts were sitting on my eyes correctly (they were), then family pictures, then a family reunion with Taylor's family (neither of us knew anyone there really) but it was still fun, about an hour into it we found Taylor's mom watching Keeping up with the Kardashians, So we joined her (I am obsessed with the Kardashians now days) so the family reunion was an all day event of course, then finally at like 7 I said I was so bored I could literally die so Taylor took me to dinner and to see Madagascar 3, it was pretty good but I still love the first one the most. PHEW, once again NON STOP!!
Day 3- Church starts at 9 (kill me), then we had to be in Salt Lake by 11 so Taylor and My dad could stand in the circle while Kenny was set apart, hang out all day in the SLC with the fam (loved it) got home around 8, and honestly couldnt tell you what happened the rest of that night, I probably slept.... HA.
Day 4- leave BC around 8 so Taylor can be at work by 3.
(sorry no pictures)
All in all crazy weekend, but loved it!
K now onto GIRLS CAMP!!
I know you are probably thinking I am a little too old for girls camp, but this girl is the newest
Laurels Adviser for the St. George 7th ward.
I have been in with the girls for about 3 months now and have loved every minute of it! The girls are so sweet and constantly make me laugh. Girls camp was so awesome! It was so up on Cedar Mountain at Little Thunder and we literally slept in like a box car or a storage container. I don't know what it was but they have the beds stacked 3 high and I was of course on the tippy top and literally thought I was going to roll to my death every night. luckily I didn't. Let me tell you about some of my favorite things
1- The girls getting to know me and seeing my crazy dancing, always laughing side and no longer being sacred of me! THE BEST!
2- Writing down what I could give up in my life that would bring me closer to my heavenly father and letting it go in a balloon. Adios!
3-Solo time: just an hour to be by yourself out in the mountains to pray and ponder and just feel the spirit. I wrote Taylor who I missed SO much a letter with my testimony in it.
4- The three champ cheer, let me teach you! clap-clap WOO clap-clap WOO clap-clap WOO
easy enought? Now you give it a shot, its lots of fun and can lift you up even in your darkest moments.
(I crack myself up)
5-OK lets be honest I loved everything about it and could write for days and days about how great it was!

| Emily and Myself! Love her! |
 |
| This picture was right after I was attacked and bit by the biggest ant I have ever seen! Anna looks especially happy to take this picture! |
 |
| Everyone |
 |
| Leaders (the best leaders at the whole camp I might add) |
 |
| All the girls from the St. George East Stake singing to the stake president! It was so pretty and all their hard work paid off |
 |
| getting ready to let go of the balloons! (goodbye selfishness and contention) |
Jump to the 25th of June and that brings us to Aladdin out at Tuacahn! Loved it! Taylor got 2 free tickets from work so of course I was the only date he could get ;) There were a lot of songs I didn't know but still enjoyed it. Then on Tuesday I got blind sided by the flu! Let me start off with the fact that I literally never get sick! After a nice long nap I woke up and felt horrible.I then spent the next 3 days in the nearest bathroom to me! Ask me any detail about my bathroom or the bathroom at work and I can tell ya ALL about it! Miserable! Thursday night (still sick and wearing basketball shorts) we went to Tuacahn once again, this time to see Hairspray. I don't know if it was because I was sick or because I didn't know the songs but I hated every minute of it. I was ready to leave by about "Good morning Baltimore!"
This is pretty much all I have to say about it: BOOO!!
 |
| Rockin basketball shorts at Tuacahn and yes we did got LOTS of dirty looks! How dare we show up dress liked that?! At least I didn't throw up, because that is what I felt like doing the whole time! |

And the very best part of the summer is in T minus 1 week from today!
LAKE POWELL!
we leave on Thursday and are going to stay in Torrey (people often spell my name this way) in a little cabin and then drive the rest of the way Friday morning!
Fun Fact: last year on the way to Lake Powell is when Taylor and I decided we did in fact want to get married and chose our date. Precious!
We are having a busy summer but are loving every minute of it! We wouldn't want it any other way!
Sorry for such a long post, I am horrible at posting so when I finally do its way too long! So if you made it to here, congrats to you and imagine me giving you the most enthusiastic 3 champ cheer you ever did hear!
also enjoy that rhyme! :)
