I am trying not to be cynical or nihilistic as the world is just horrible with what’s happening.
It’s not like I can change anything about the situation because of the insane amount of hubris contributing to these atrocities.
People are such hypocrites to the highest degree.
Sometimes I wonder why even bother blogging, doing anything creative, or even voicing my opinions of different things.
1625+ Days on Duolingo

Finally reached another achievement with Duolingo. This felt good as I have been trucking for years even before I got teachers to help me since this is no replacement for real life classes. I have been doing my best to progress in my learning. I just need to talk with more people in those languages. It had been angering at times when I wanted to be fluent faster. I have also been listening to more Swahili language music which has helped with listening comprehension. However, I’m trying my best not to learn languages to shame people who want to question my intelligence.
Some Non-English Music I’ve been Listening To Somewhat Recently
(Tanzania: Swahili Language)
(Zambia: Chichewa Language)
(Peru: Spanish language…Yes, there are Black people in Peru, too.)
(Bosnia & Herzegovina: Bosnian)
(Japan: Japanese with some English words)
(Suriname: Saramaccan Language)
That’s only a short list. Only one of those songs was from an anime and I listen to music from multiple countries and continents!
Short Rant About Fear
This world is unraveling, and it’s hard not to be frustrated.
Sometimes I wonder if the atrocities happening in the world will render any creative works to be useless.
I would certainly hate for this to be the case, like everything I do is for naught.
That’s not even counting the stark hypocrisy I see from people about politics, race, diaspora warring, and petty fandom spats.
I wonder if I will ever succeed in anything.
AEW Worlds End 2025 Highlights: Samoa Joe Vs. Swerve Strickland Vs. “Hangman” Adam Page Vs. MJF
Here’s my last video from AEW Worlds End and it involves the main event with the AEW World Championship match. The champion Samoa Joe defended against former world champs Swerve Strickland, “Hangman” Adam Page, and MJF. I have seen all of them wrestle before and I remember seeing that insane main event at All Out where Hangman and Swerve had that bloodsoaked steel cage lights out match which was the most brutal thing I’ve seen live in-person (that syringe through the face SHUDDERS). Thankfully, nothing got that insane, but lots of action did happen here. I also felt good predicting who would win.
Learning about Africville and Black Nova Scotians
I have been researching the Black Nova Scotian community who are the oldest Black Canadians. The first Black person to be in Canada was in 1603. Unfortunately, slavery, racism, and discrimination also happened in Canada against the Black community in Nova Scotia who have been here longer than Canada has been a country, longer than a good portion of white Canadians, and even families who have been there just as long as or in some cases longer than some Black American (ADOS/FBA) families. However, this history isn’t talked about as much in Canada or America. Not all Black Canadians are The Weeknd or Drake, people!
Africville was a community of Black Nova Scotians in the outskirts of Halifax, but the inhabitants were forcefully relocated, the government put a dump near their land, and bulldozed their homes who have been there for generations. It was sobering hearing this as I’m learning about other people in the African Diaspora to see how other people have been foundational in their countries and also challenging myself from America since I don’t want to be accused of having American main character syndrome while educating myself.
I have learned so much in my independent research and I wanted to share this for BHM.
AEW Worlds End 2025 Highlights: Kazuchika Okada Vs. Jon Moxley (C2 Finals)
We’re finally at the Continental Classic Finals for 2025! Kazuchika Okada defends his Continental Championship against the Death Rider leader Jon Moxley in an intense match. This was Okada’s better match that night, and I can now say I’ve seen him wrestle 4 different times, but on 3 days. I know it’s not Prime Rainmaker in his glory days, so please cut me some slack, NJPW fans! This was good to watch and I know both of them can deliver in the ring. I also got a speech from the winner at the end of this video.
AEW Worlds End 2025 Highlights: Kris Statlander Vs. Jamie Hayter (AEW Women’s World Championship Match)
Here’s the AEW Women’s World Championship match between Kris Statlander against former champion Jamie Hayter! This was my first time seeing Hayter live in person, so that was cool even if she looks like Daphne from Scooby-Doo now. There were some “women’s wrestling!” chants happening which was a good sign, and both certainly are good in the ring.
Some Music from Different African Countries
I wanted to share some music from different nations in the Motherland. Hey, it’s Black History Month here, but I wanted to share some examples.
Elham Mohammed (Eritrea)
Malawi Mouse Boys
Saida Karoli (Tanzania…this song is in Swahili, too!)
Wrust (Botswanan Death Metal!!)
Kosmik (Angolan experimental rock)
Miriam Makeba (South Africa)
AEW Worlds End 2025 Highlights: Darby Allin Vs. Gabe Kidd
This match involves people I’ve never seen in a match before even though one of them appeared the last time I saw an AEW show even if he didn’t have a match. It was the gothic daredevil Darby Allin against NJPW’s Nottingham madman Gabe Kidd wrestling in Hoffman Estates. It got brutal and bloody, so don’t watch this if you’re squeamish. This wasn’t even a hardcore match either! I was also glad that Gabe Kidd got to use the “War Ready” theme by Essex-based rapper La Swave AKA Delboy from the Wresthings podcast. They are my favorite pro wrestling podcast and feel free to check them out here.
