National Earmuff Day on March 13th recognizes the creation of the protection that keeps our ears warm. The annual celebration highlights the history of the fun and innovative invention each year. – NationalDayCalendar.com
I’m sure that had my late wife been aware that there was a #NationalEarMuffDay, that she would have been telling me that I had natural earmuffs…
I wrote this for a Saturday Evening Post limerick contest back in April 2020. The contest required a limerick that went with the picture – this is the picture and it is perfect for National Plant A Flower Day…and the limerick is too!
Every year on March 11th, World Plumbing Day highlights the important role of plumbing in protecting public health…How inconvenient would your life be without immediate access to hot or cold water? What if you had to leave the comfort of your home to go to the bathroom in an outhouse?
Thank your local plumber for all the work they do. Think about what your life would be like without plumbing and reliable skilled plumbers. – NationalDayCalendar.com
“National Skirt Day is celebrated every year on March 10. It’s a special day when women around the country don skirts with pride. Have a closet full of skirts that you’ve been meaning to wear for the longest time? Now is your chance. Celebrate the day in style by getting all your friends to wear skirts with you. As summer approaches, a skirt is the perfect easy, breezy go-to attire for many. Who wouldn’t want to get in on this action? This is why people have been wearing skirts for as long as clothes have been around. It’s safe to say that skirts will be around for centuries to come.” – NationalToday.com
Skirts have always been an essential part of a woman’s wardrobe. They have style. They have sophistication, and they can be very alluring as a long leg sticking out of a slit or a very mini miniskirt will be quite eye catching.

It might sprout if it only went out of its shell and then looked all about, saw the sun in the sky and white clouds flying high. If it did . . . well, it did with a shout.
A double delight limerick opportunity for me – a cool word play and a Classic Art Meme. This one should resonate with many people who have been subjected to this bad behavior by this type of offensive person.
National Get Over It Day is observed annually on March 9th to encourage letting go of grudges, petty grievances, and lingering, stressful issues. Created in 2005, this unofficial holiday aims to help people move past life’s disappointments and minor annoyances. It is strategically placed to help people move forward after the emotional intensity of Valentine’s Day. – Google AI Overview
The people who create these wonderful Classic Art Memes are uncommonly clever and this one, which poses a rhetorical question regarding how uncommon “Common Sense” is, is a perfect example…and an inspiration for me.
“Know thyself” is an ancient Greek maxim inscribed on the Temple of Apollo at Delphi, often associated with Socrates and Plato. It serves as a command to gain self-awareness, understanding one’s true nature, limits, and limitations, which is considered the foundational, necessary step toward wisdom and a virtuous life.

Their collaborative style is full of rich emotions and fiery actions. Bree and Chuck jokingly call their creative processes ‘cooking’ as they enjoy adding their own favorite spices. I’m a little late to the party today with this one, but it’s always a good time to be snacking.

Esther, my friend, you have hit a “Mother Lode,” a treasure trove of posts that I have written about a great subject to write about – DANCE & DANCING.
Here are the links to ones that I think you will enjoy. FYI – there are several “National Days” that are “Dancing Days” and they are in this collection.
When I saw this meme accusing Charles Dickens of some dubious misogynist behavior, it brought back bad memories of when I was guilty of some inappropriate behavior myself. DISCLAIMER – it was long ago and I am remorseful, contrite and now I would never even think of it. That said, after seeing the “thought” that the graphic designer put into Dickens’ head, I was able to relate to Charlie’s problem as I have had something similar in my “bad boy” past.
