Central Patagonia has its most obvious shapes in the Peninsula Valdés and Golfo de San Jorge. But these elevation data show subtleties farther west where overdeepened glacial troughs connect vaguely to outflow streams – whose inner channels reflect today’s aridity, but whose terraces show marks of huge outburst floods not so long ago.
