GRATITUDE February 2026

February- I am GRATEFUL FOR...

2/1/26- watching Steve stand at the pulpit as the Vineyard 12th ward bishop one last time. His tenderness and spirit. So grateful for his ALWAYS WILLING selfless service

Love the idea about God didn’t give David a crown, He gave him Goliath- the plan is a plan of progress, messy beautiful journey

💡this life is where we can gain knowledge, have opportunities to stretch us, the hard things are what help us grow. Those opportunities are not the same in the life after and therefore we need to learn them here.

2 invitations from Pres Riley from boundary change:

-pray that we can continue to see the miracles of people coming to vineyard -support the small wards/youth

-2 Nephi 31:12- share love and encouragement to all, show what’s possible, follow the Savior

2/2/26- grateful for good friends and neighbors. So many reached out in appreciation for Steve as bishop and for our family. Brambles gave us a kind care and chocolate bread.

2/3/26- grateful for missionaries niece Eva  Cornelsen and family came to spend the night before dropping her off at Provo MTC. Grateful for friends and neighbors-enjoyed RS activity and got to chat with great ones❤️

2/4/26- GRATEFUL for Noah- Happy 21st birthday! Being a witness of this young man’s becoming is a gift. He is such a kind hearted, hardworking, wise soul. Striving to become who God has intended him to become. True disciple. Seeker of truth. Sharer of love. Thanks for making me a mama 🥰

2/5/26-Learning from others- listened to a talk by Elder Bednar about prayer. Loved the idea of when we pray, especially in the morning and at night, we are CREATING the platform, the path of what you hope your day to be and preparing for the days that follows. Prayers of appreciation.

2/6/26-After work popping in to my parents and just sitting and talking, laughing and soaking up their positive spirit and energy. Great examples

2/7/26- grateful to go on a run with Steve on a gorgeous afternoon. Love living so close to a beautiful lake and in the shadow of incredible Mountain View’s

2/8/26- loved going on a morning walk with Steve. Having time this week to reflect on callings. Being released from the young women’s and Steve as Bishop. We enjoy serving and I continue to practice faith and trust that we will be called to wherever we need to be.

Sacrament mtg

Jeran Jarman - invited us to:

-expect miracles/dedicate service to God

-obedience/ ponder 150 most meaningful relationships -will be magnified

Keslee Astill- minister- we are His hands, compassion, love w/out judgment.

2/9/26- grateful that we got to talk to our boys, love reading their inspiring emails. Noah shared this thought,

“The word hope is sometimes misunderstood. In our everyday language, the word often has a hint of uncertainty. For example, we may say that we hope for a change in the weather or a visit from a friend. In the language of the gospel, however, the word hope is sure, unwavering, and active."

2/10/26- Me, Steve, Jamison and our friends Salena and Russ Gatenby went to a movie called Standout- true story/documentary about Ben Kjar and overcoming his struggles in life with facial defects and winning big  and the confidence wrestling taught him.

Grateful for good people and good stories

2/11/26-grateful to go to the temple with Steve and do sealings. Going to lunch with my sis Kristin, laughing with my parents, talking to my sis Heather on the phone, opportunity to pray a lot for Paige and her permit test. 🙏🏻 watch Olympics with Steve

2/12/26- listening to a come follow me podcast - quote by cs Lewis- “pleasure, money, power, and safety are not inherently evil, but rather good things that become dangerous when pursued in the wrong way or made ultimate goals.”

thought “choosing between doing what is right, and doing what is easy” pursuit of something good in the wrong way.

2/13/26- good friends, opportunities to grow and become, just got called to be a RS teacher. Steve was called as a teachers quorum advisor and camp/ adventure specialist

2/14/26-Valentines day!❤️ABSOLUTELY LOVE and ADORE my family! Grateful I could go on a run with Steve, go to dinner with our kids, and thoughtfulness of Steve who got me chocolate covered strawberries and a candle🥰 for my girls who gave us a little valentines treat.

2/15/26

Brother Dan Criddle: Entropy- chaos will ensue unless energy is put into it.

Thinking about the importance of the small and simple things. Being consistent or the worldly things will creep in and consume the good. Remember your testimony. Use your agency to CHOOSE

  • remember who you are. Child of God, remember who you are talking to is a child of God
  • Grateful to be set apart for our new callings. Steve as the Teachers quorum advisor and YM adventure specialist. I was set apart to be a Relief Society teacher.

Grateful for neighbors and their gratitude for Steve serving as bishop threw him a “retirement” party

2/16/26Grateful to talk to our boys- for agency, opportunities. Noah’s in his last 2 transfers going to be training. Reed looking forward to new adventures. Reed sent me a sweet email, just to me💕Lunch w neighbor friends.

2/17/26-Peace-too many angry people.

2/18/26-warmth and calm at the temple-baptisms with Steve and Ava. First Snow of winter-need it in mtns. Yummy chicken noodle soup. Great authors who write with such vision- started the book Theo of Golden. Laughter with Brooke.

2/19/26- “you can bend a sapling but not a tree”- the idea from the book Theo of Golden. How important are the things we do and become as we grow, which direction.

2/20/26-Grateful for a healthy body, mind. Being a believer in miracles. Worked on a woman named Joy who has been in the hospital for a few months dealing w an obstruction.  Going septic and having to relearn how to walk.

2/21/26-Grateful for the priesthood and to witness the baby blessing of Harrison and Abi’s first baby, Lacie- I jotted down some of the sweet blessings her dad shared:

Lacie Kristine Moon- 2/21/26

“Bless you with…Light of Christ,

Kindness, compassion,  joy you bring to others, have strength to stand up for truth , having a sensitivity to the spirit, have the Spirit to help through trials, in making big decisions, guidance from spirit to feel confidence in the decisions you make.

Grow to be strong, good health,  turn to those that love you with guidance, trust in them as examples in your life, know of Heavenly Fathers love, use Atonement in your life. Know you are loved! “

2/22/26-Grateful for repentance/forgiveness and the ability for self reflection

John 14:23

Talks today in Sacrament mtg were focused on being a peacemaker. Called me to repentance

One thing I’m going to work on this week:

Find joy each day

2/23/26-Grateful for naps, talking to my boys-for their positive attitudes, strength and love.

2/24/26-Grateful for order, for healthy bodies, scriptures

2/25/26-Grateful for books/great visual writers- finished the book Theo of Golden- LOVED it! Grateful for Jamison’s hugs!

2/26/26-Papas 80th birthday! So grateful he’s my dad and still with us on this earth.

Grateful Steve’s colonoscopy was clean and he’s healthy ❤️

2/27/26-going on a walk with Ava, happy seeing someone getting ready to propose by the lake.

2/28/26- grateful for an able body that can work. For Steve and how hard he works to provide and love our family. Grateful for family, for Papa turning 80. For Calderwoods throwing such a fun fiesta.

Kristin and Cody Calderwood hosted a fun Birthday Fiesta for our dad.
We had enchiladas, soda with licorice straws (catch the bubbles)
Cookies, Ice cream drum sticks and a pinata!
We played a How well do we know Rick Kahoots and a family feud game.
It was hilarious, especially because Papa couldn't even remember what answers he gave.

Bishop Steve "RETIRED"

Our great neighbors threw Steve a Bishops "Retirement" party.
It was so sweet to have so many friends and neighbors over to celebrate him.
Steve doesn't love the spotlight, but he was a sport and adorned the sash and crown for a moment.
Thank you Tyler and Christine Jeffs for hosting such a thoughtful gathering.
(and all our neighbor friends for showing up)
Image
WE GOT our FIRST SNOW of the winter!
Lasted a day or two
ImageImage
Popped into Jamison's work, Storm Lacrosse, to get a tour and bring him some dinner!
Image
Had our youth conference kick off
Our youth are going to be walking a MARATHON!
Can't wait to see all who accept the challenge.
Image
Jamison got a new white shirt and came out of our closet with a "Elder Helm" missionary tag on.
Sniff sniff! It's going to come too soon. I am so grateful he's choosing to BECOME an even greater young man by serving the Lord. Love this kid!
Image
Steve's sister Camille, and her kids/grandkids came to stay the weekend for Harrison and Abby's blessing of their little baby, Lucie Kristine Moon.
I found Paige reading to Israel and Georgia.
ImageImage
Jamison and Steve made it to Sundance for a day on the slopes!
ImageImage
Steve had a clean bill of health for his colonoscopy! YAY!
He's never been under anesthesia, so when the nurse tapped him to wake up, he was refreshed, chatty and wanted a Coke, but... was bummed when I reminded him that he didn't drink caffeine any more. So he settled with a Sprite. He was so hilarious!
