Silly Trippy

Tripp and I got all bundled up and went outside to build a snowman.ImageNot too bad for Tripp's first snowman, eh?
ImageImage Good thing I took a picture, cuz 5 minutes later this happened:
ImageImageImage After all that work, he needed a snack.
Image It surprised me that Tripp knew what to do with the snow. We walked out there and after being outside for 10 seconds, he had already thrown a snowball at me! I showed him how to make a snowangel and all he did was laugh at me. He also found it funny when I caught snowflakes on my tongue. When Tripp first saw the snow falling, he yelled, "Snow! Like Bambi!" Which happens to be one of his favorite movies. That's my silly boy for you.

Dekko Vs. Buzz

Once again, Tripp wanted to wear his costume. He's always climbing up on things and shouting, "I'm Buzz Lit-year." That's how it sounds anyway. So my boys have already started to wrestle each other. Not sure what I'm going to do when they are older and actually hurting each other.

Bored

Image ImageSince we had nothing better to do today, we made a turkey out of Tripp's hands and feet. Tripp loves it when we trace his hands so he enjoyed this project very much. We found the idea here. I think ours looks better.

Happy Halloween

This year for Halloween we dressed up as a Toy Story Family. We had Woody, ImageJessie,
ImageBuzz Lightyear (I was trying to get him to do a "to infinity and beyond" pose but it ended up looking more like a "I'm a little teapot" pose),
ImageImageand Wheezy the Penguin.
ImageImageWe went to Mike and Tina's Trunk-or-treat.
ImageTripp got tons of candy, including full size candy bars. ImageThen we went to our Ward's trunk-or-treat, and because it was raining, we had it inside the gym. That really bummed us out since we decorated our trunk and no one got to see it.

Image
We also went to a party at Randy's Parent's house. We played lots of games, ate lots of food, and all the kids went trick-or-treating to all the doors in the house. It was a fun night and we can't wait till next Halloween.

Comparison

I don't know why, but I like comparing my babies. On the left is Tripp at about 3.5 months and the right is Deklan at 2 months. And I'm guessing they probably weigh the same. Deklan is 13 pounds right now. It's interesting to see how tan Tripp looked and how white Dekko is.Image

Strong Boy

Tripp likes to do whatever his daddy does. Yesterday he got on the floor and told me he was doing push-ups. So I had to film my little buff baby.

My Sweet Boys

This little beast is already 6 weeks old. Where did the time go? He's a super good baby. He hardly ever cries, one night he slept 8 hours and another 7 hours, and he puts up with Tripp's torture. It's difficult for me to get a good pic of him that isn't blurry. So you'll have to put up with my bad photography :(
Image It's even more difficult to take a pic of them together ImageCheck out Dekko's face. Can you tell he's afraid of his rambunctious brother?
Image
The claw!
Image
I love this pic cuz they are making the same face. And check out Tripp's new undies! Ever wonder how difficult it is when you're breastfeeding a baby and you're 2 year old yells out he has to pee? It's pretty tough.

I love these little boys!

YAY! He's finally here!

Introducing.... Deklan, my little beast! He decided to come on his due date, August 4. He was 9lbs 6oz and 20 3/4 inches long.
ImageImage We were trying to get a pic of Tripp holding Deklan, but he wasn't having it. Can you tell by the naughty face he's making.
Image And I thought this was kind of funny. This is Tripp at 1 day old: ImageAnd this is Deklan at 3 days old:
ImageDeklan is so chubby! I love it! I finally have a fat baby and I'm excited.

Gamma and Seattle

My mom came to visit us for the week to be here when I delivered my baby...but no such luck. This kid doesn't want to come out. So we enjoyed playing with mom while she was here. We went to Seattle and decided to ride the Duck -which is a land and water tour on an old WWII military assault vehicle.Image Our driver/tour guide was pretty animated and tried to make our tour fun and exciting. Tripp enjoyed yelling and clapping along with the driver. We saw some pretty neat sites like Gasworks Park (below) which is featured in the movie "10 Things I Hate About You." We also saw the floating house from "Sleepless in Seattle" and learned it was for sale, for 2.3 million dollars.
Image One of mom's friends told her about the gum wall by Pike Place Market, so we had to go contribute to it.
Image Tripp spit his gum into my hand along with a big pool of saliva. You can tell by the looks on our faces we both thought it was nasty!
Image Randy and his deposit
ImageI love watching them make cheese! We even tried some fresh cheese curds that were delicious.
ImageTripp and I on the dock in front of the city
ImageTripp loved chasing these pigeons with this cute curly-haired girl
Image Tripp cried when my mom left today and has been asking for her as well. He enjoyed his roommate. While mom was here, I tried every inducing labor technique we could find. Nothing works. I tried castor oil -which is completely nasty and made me vomit, raspberry leaf tea, oregano and basil, accupressure points, long walks and lots of stairs, I even tried using my breast pump, we also tried what got him in there in the first place. Tripp was two weeks early, so I'm not used to being prego this long -my due date is wednesday. I'm not sure what else to try. And yeah, I know I'm HUGE so keep your fat comments to yourself.

And They're Off!!!

Memorial Day Weekend went racing by as we went to Emerald Downs to watch a little horse racing with ma & pa and the Brian/Jenny family. It was a pretty mucky day at the track and the track status was "sloppy" to begin with, however, the weather actually cooperated halfway through the races so we even got to see some racing on the wet/fast track.Anyway, we had fun rootin' and hollerin' and the kids got to enjoy some other activities as well.

The Race Fans from left:Titon, Jenny, Hitler(I mean Brian), Carol, Wilbur, Washy, & Trippman

Image

What's horse racing without a bet?Yes, there's a first for everything.Oh, and if you couldn't tell by Tripp's face, he's in this to win it!

Image

Watching my "Exacta" bet win me some moolah and the horses who helped me out!

ImageTripp got to enjoy some activities as well, like having a basketball painted on his hand, and riding the ponies while Daddy got all muddy sloshing with the ponies.

Emerald Downs...Good Times!

Favorite

Image ImageThis is my calling. It's my favorite so far. I get to make cookies for the Relief Society ladies for their birthdays. These are fun to make, but starting to be exhausting -especially when my big belly gets in the way. See the ones without names, those are my back ups cuz I have a tendency to snap their heads off when I package them. but I'm happy to say that I didn't decapitate any ladies this time. The only downside to this calling is that I can't eat sugar cookies anymore. I've made so many this year that they aren't even appealing to me. I have 3 ladies leftover, any takers?
