Deals for reals...

My ward had a Relief Society activity at the beginning of the month and we talked about Food Storage. One thing that stuck in my head was a thing that a sister mentioned. She said that we should store what we eat and eat what we store. I've had a hard time with that, because what we do like to eat is sometimes too much for our wallets. But they also said that you don't have to get it all at once and to find deals first, before buying it for the regular price. Well I did just that.

Macey's Grocery Store had an Anniversary sale a couple of weeks ago. And the deals the they had were amazing. We got all of this for under $50.00! I was so excited, so I went again and bought more stuff and still spent around the same price.
All of this was just under $45.00

We then went to the new WinCo Foods and got all of this, plus more, let's just say that I got 6 completely full carts of groceries and spent under $180.00.

We were blessed to get all of this. Our pantry, refrigerator, freezer and storage room are full of food. I'm so grateful for the awesome deals that we were able to get. I hope that there will be more deals to get. I hope you get some too.

I'm back for sure...

I gave my camera to my brother and his wife and had no photos to share. I'm not one to post a lot without pictures, so I've been vacationing from blogging. But I just purchased a new camera and am on the blogging fix. So watch out! I'm back!

Do you remember the before's of our home? Well here they are and the afters with them...(please excuse the mess, we're still trying to get settled in.)

What we've been up to...

I'm so sorry I haven't posted anything lately. Home building is serious work and very exhausting. But I wanted to post some of things we've been doing, so you can get a heads up on our lives and so you know that we haven't fallen completely off the face of the earth. My hubby started a new job with a new company and they have their annual Lagoon Day on Memorial Day. The last time we went Lagoon was when I was pregnant with our first, so four years ago. Since then there have been a bunch of new rides built for both adults and children. This was the first time for our kids, so you can imagine our sons amazement when we got there. He absolutely loved it. Our daughter on the other hand, let's just say she's still too little to really get into it. When it was time to go our son didn't want to. He kept saying to us, "bye mommy and daddy, see you later." We knew that we had to bring him back. So we are planning another Lagoon trip real soon. Below are some pictures of our Lagoon adventure.

We had a ton of graduations that we attended. Here are some of the graduates that we like to brag about...

Here are a few girls who were my Mia Maids in my old ward. Though I am no longer their Young Women's leader, they are still my girls.

We almost have our bathroom completed and we have a vegetable and flower garden planted. Sorry no pictures, I lost the camera. But will post pictures of the finished result. So as you can see, it's been a little crazy around here, however we wouldn't have it any other way. I'll take more breaks and post more stuff soon. We hope you are all having a wonderful spring/summer.

Excuse me...

...I know I have been M.I.A. the past few weeks and I do apologize. There is so much going on in the Ras Class household, LITERALLY, I don't know where to start. Let me just make a list of things we've accomplished with our home within the last few weeks.
  • Kitchen floor-tile set and grouted
  • Front landing and bathroom tile-grouted
  • Kitchen cabinets-purchased, stained & installed
  • Kitchen counter top-purchased & installed
  • Dishwasher-installed

Here is the end result...Image

I love it! Now here's a list of things we have, but just need to get done...

  • Kitchen sink installed
  • Over-the-range microwave oven installed
  • Oven range delivered & put in place
  • Refrigerator delivered & put in place
  • Bathroom vanity painted & installed
  • Toilet installed
  • Shower tiled & window replaced
  • Carpet or wood floor installed

And then we are in. I cannot wait to be in it and finally have my Visiting Teachers come to my home, instead of visiting with me in the church foyer. I apologize again, because it will probably be another few weeks before I post again. Til then, blog on and I hope that you all are having a fabulous Spring season.

Home "almost" Sweet Home...

As many of you may know, we are remodeling the inside of our home and yes it's taken a lot longer than planned, but when you are married to the man who is doing all the work, who has a full-time job and lately has been on-call a lot as well(not complaining), his free time is very spares. It's hard to go to work and put in 8 to 14, sometimes 16 hours and then come home and do the same thing and not get paid for it. So we, I mean I, have learned quick to not push, nag or complain to him to get the house done. But when a project is completed or something gets done, we celebrate and we get more excited for everything to be put together. Like our stairs rails and front entry way floor and upstairs bathroom floor. They are all done. My hubby and my amazingly talented brother-in-law installed the stair rails and my hubby set up the tile in the bathroom and front entry way. My hubby is going to grout the tile later in the week, his goal is to set up the tile in the kitchen and then grout all of the tile in one day, but depending on how his work schedule goes, it will probably be next week for sure. Please say a little prayer for us that it happens. I wanted to post pictures of the successes we are having. I'm so excited it's almost done.ImageImageImageImageImage
