Minky Couture

Brylee, Brinley, Tanner, and Dylan Sleepover with Minky Couture Blankets!!

I Love my Minky Couture Blankets!! OK I have always been a blanket girl even when I don’t need one there is something about being wrapped up in a blanket that is comforting! Now that I work for Minky Couture, it has been fun seeing all the fun blankets they have and new prints that come out too. If you don’t have one, it is well worth the money and they are always having sales too!! My kids are a little obsessed too even though they already have one they keep saying they want another. Maybe for Christmas!! This is a picture I took the night a couple of the cousins slept over and I couldn’t resist as it was really cute!! Yes I did have to move Tanners Denver Bronco fleece blanket out of the way for a minute, he does still love it a lot too!!

I am so lucky to be able to work and not have to worry about daycare for the time being, now when Brylee is in Kindergarten I haven't figured out how that will work exactly, but it is Great!! The days I have to go into work I take the kids with me, and sometimes if it is early or if the kids got to bed late they are tired, and this was one day when they both fell asleep, which makes it nice as it is much quieter!!!

Memorial Day 2012

I know I am weird and maybe it is because I am sentimental, but I enjoy visiting the graves! I like the Sunday before Memorial Day going with Jason's Family and going from cemetery to cemetery to see the many people who have passed on before us and getting to know those I didn‘t know and remembering those I did know. We visit for a bit at each place and I have tried to have them say something about the person so my kids will know who it is that we are visiting, each year they are remembering a little more that they are told. We go from Uintah, South Ogden, 36th Street, West Warren, and Hooper it is quite a trek, but I do like it!! I always make sure that I visit Grandma and Grandpa Shurtleff as well, and every time we drive past the Ogden Cemetery my kids always say, "Hi Grandma & Grandpa Great!" And they know the story of when Grandmas pie was dropped on the floor and we couldn't waste it, so we all got forks and ate it off the floor, and that I learned to love to bake and cook because of Grandma Great as she always had something for you when you stopped by, even if she wasn't expecting you she would find something. Also the story of Grandpa Shurtleff taking us kids to the park and him calling Grandma his Angel, and much much more!!

We thought that summer had almost arrived, but it keeps getting cold again!! We were watching the rain out the front window and Brylee said "Wouldn't it be so fun to just jump in that puddle!" We kept watching for a few minutes then Tanner said "You want too? Lets go get our snow clothes on!" I said "No, snow clothes are not necessary, just go get some boots and coats on you will be fine it isn't too cold!" Plus that week I had just moved the snow cloths box downstairs! They had a blast riding the scooters in the gutter and it shooting up as they went as fast as they could!! Brylee only biffed it once but got right back up and kept going!! Tanner said "Mom want to try it, it is really fun!" I passed this time!! ;)

Kanesville Elementary does a cool thing, they have a relay race for each grade at the end of the year. Each class chooses 2 girls and 2 boys to run the race. Tanner was the 2nd fastest kid in his class, so he got to be a part of the race, and his class took 1st place!!! Mrs Arnold was the 2nd Grade winners and they dusted them. Ashley started the race, then Tanner had the second leg of the race, and passed off to Olivia who then passed off to Kadon to end the race. It was fun to see and I was glad Tanner got to be a part of it. Way to Go Mrs. Arnolds 2nd Grade Glass!!!

Field Day 2012

Always fun to have field day the last week of school!!! This year they had bounce houses, the dunk tank, and also they had the skate guy/DJ come too. It was a day full of lots of fun and no work!! They got a Popsicle while they bounced and then when they were skating they could buy $1 treats (Snowcones, cottoncandy, pop & etc)!! I am glad it was a hot day for the sake of the kids in the dunk tank!! It was a fun day!!
