Jenna went out of town with Lyman for a little get away and I took the kids. They happen to be out of town for Dylan's Birthday so we had to make it special for him. So the plan started he wanted to go to Fat Cats, so we were going to do that the day of his Birthday, but then Leslie called and of course she can talk me into anything, so she talked me into coming up to Bear Lake with the kids for a few days and promised she would help out since Jason wouldn't be able to go since he had to work. So yup, we left Wed afternoon, and ventured to Bear Lake, we had a great ride up stopping at Maverick for drinks and Winco for treats. We played our music game and sung almost the whole way, it was a lot of fun. We stayed the night and the next morning headed for the beach, I made it easy and did cereal for breakfast and I never do that, since camping food is my favorite. We headed for the beach and wasn't prepared for what would happen that is for sure. As we were leaving Chandler said his stomach hurt, he ran to the bathroom, but I didn't think much more of it. We went to the beach at the north end since not much beach at Rainbow Cove since the water was so high. Chandler fell asleep for quite a while and then got up and we had lunch and then he went into the water, but not for too long, which is not normal as he is a little fish. When he came up from the water he had sand all over him, so I told him to go in the water and get it off but he wouldn't he just sat on the sand and got more sand on him. He sat there for a while then I go up and was going to help him and he said he pooped. Oh no I said and checked and sure enough he did, so then he really needed to clean up. I know this is gross, but what do ya do. I took him out to the water and with Curt's help after we finally got him out there we got him all cleaned up for the most part, we brought him up to the beach and made a cover for him by holding up towels and took his suit off and then I went to rinse it off, I got it all rinsed off and came back and he then started to throw up and then also poop at the same time, thank goodness for the sand we were able to cover it all up and we got buckets of water and just dumped on him to rinse him off. So what do we do now?!? Curt went to see if he had a diaper in the car, but he didn't, but he did come up with a diaper we cut up the sheet Leslie had that she was just going to throw away now since it was all gross with throw up and poop on and Curt got a black garbage bag and cut it up and we used duck tape to tape it together. What creativity and Leslie said she would help us I don't think they thought they would help in this way. We were going to go to Bear Lake Pizza, but ended up deciding to go back to camp instead as we didn't know how Chandler would be and didn't want to chance him not making it to the bathroom again. When we got back to camp I got him all cleaned up and what happen again? Yup you got it he threw up again. At that point Isabel was crying saying lets go home the other kids didn't want to go home, and I just didn't know what to do since the garbage and throw-up bag was right by him and he missed both and got it all over himself and the ground. I didn't how he would be in the night and didn't want to have to clean up in the trailer or tent. Isabel called her parents and I then decided lets just go home. Dad couldn't meet us 1/2 way so some of us could stay and so I just decided lets all go. The others were not happy, but after throwing and I mean really throwing everything in the trailer, hooking up and praying I hooked it up right covering the front and back seat and areas Chandler would be sitting just in case he had more accidents we headed for home. We stopped for some dinner and Chandler only got a Coke just in case. We made it home in one piece with no accidents and since we didn't get to stay another night we still had Dylan's Birthday the next day to make special!! So since he originally wanted to go to Fat Cats that is where we got to go. I had gotten Angel Food Cake with Strawberries for camping for his birthday, so we had that for breakfast, nice and healthy right!!! We headed to Fat Cats and did a round of bowling, mini golf, then had to go watch the sky divers upstairs too. It ended up being a fun week even thought Chandler did get sick. I am not sure we will be invited camping again for a while. J/K It was an adventure we will all remember for a long time for sure. I felt so bad for Chandler for being sick and glad he was feeling better and now have a hint of how it is having a handicap child age 13 that is like a 2 or 3 year old. I knew how it was before, but now I know completely. I know my sister would have done it for me, so I would do it again if I had to.
