Just another day in the snow.

Took Vern and my nephew Chris out today. Chris' first sledding. Yup! Corrupting the whole family!

And Vern had to demonstrate how to properly get a sled stuck in the trees. Upside down.

This activity is such a good stress reliever. Which is strange, because it can be such a stressful activity!

Out back

I never get tired of the view out our back yard of the mountains. I can sit at my kitchen table, and just stare. (We had lotsa mountains in Washington of course, but couldn't see them!) Just some of the many things I love about living here.

Couldn't find a picture of the spring time. They're covered with green. The summer they get dry and brown, but even then there's a real magnificence to them. And watching the day break over them in the morning is sometimes breathtaking.

Happy New Year!

I am hoping and praying this is a better year for alot of our family. There's been alot of them with real struggles the past year or 2.
Let's look forward to alot of family gatherings, too. Maybe another Maddox meet, and let's make the reunion work this year. And it would be fun to do on-the-spot meets. Call, Facebook, email, whatever, but just get the word out "Hey! Let's meet at ______restaraunt in _____ city this saturday at 6PM, everyone that can make it!".
Thanks to the 2 cousins that keep me posting this blog(Miriam & Bev). I'm not so sure anyone else ever reads this, but I STILL like it better than FaceBook.
I miss all my family up in Washington. Don't know if any of you ever read this, but if you do, please don't feel left out. I talk about family down here alot, but you all are non the less important to us. Hopefully will make it up that way this summer to see everyone.
