Green Thumb!!
Grandpa Evans has been slaving away at this year's garden. He works on it night and day and it has paid off. For the past three years we have tried to get a garden started and it took Grandpa to get it to work. Karter loves to pick peas and look at the new growth, like watermelon and pumpkins. Kaden likes to play with the dirt and touch the grass.

The Celebration
Blessed
Thankful Grateful and Blessed
What a great day it was when we gathered for Kaden's baby blessing. How grateful we are for the chance to have this little boy in our life. It's amazing to think how almost a year ago we thought we had lost him to a miscarriage and here he his happy and healthy. It was a struggle to get him here, but it was worth it. We know we are blessed and will enjoy watching him grow and develop over the years.

Oh Brother!
This is the first good picture that I have of both of them together. Karter has been anti-pic a nice little toddler phase, that I hope he has finally gotten over. Kaden loves watching and listening to Karter, he already looks up to his big brother. Karter has warmed up to the thought of a brother and talks to him and helps him with his binky. I'm surprised how Karter is usually indifferent to Kaden and goes on with his day as if things haven't changed. I try take his advice and just enjoy the day no matter how crazy it can get.
Growing
I can't believe how fast Kaden is growing and I can't believe how much he looks like Karter when Karter was younger. I haven't uploaded old pics of Karter yet to show the likeness, but will soon. Kaden is sleeping really well through the night and his belly seems to be doing much better. He loves to smile and coo and just had his first laugh the other day. Lots of fun seeing both boys grow and develop.

Faster, Faster
So we finally got Karter to ride his four wheeler, and I have to say after having him crash into my cabinets and running over toys, I guess I'm kinda of lucky that it took him a year to find the courage. He thinks it's his getaway car, notice his hunched over shoulders in the second picture. He usually crouches down, looks over his shoulder, slams on the gas and says faster, faster as he's trying to escape from me. It always cracks me up and I think it's funny that he thinks that his little four wheeler will out run me. Scary to think what's ahead when he can actually drive a real one, I hope he will have learned how to steer by then :)

Snow Much Fun
Mobbed By Ducks
I knew that it was going to be crazy when we first pulled in and the ducks ran at the car. Grandma went to get Karter out and the ducks tried to get into the car and Karter squealed and kept saying I'm scared (cute and funny moment). The mob of ducks was so huge and frisky the only safe place for Karter was on top of the car. All three of us giggled and laughed as we threw the bread and Kaden slept in the car; missing all of the action. We've been back one more time this last week and the same thing happened except this time I got bit (which felt creepy, but luckily not painful) and Karter loved throwing whole pieces of bread and creating a duck feeding frenzy.

It's been a Year already?
Man time flies, I can't believe it has almost been one whole year since I've been on my blog. I stopped about last year due to morning sickness and lack of energy. Every spare minute I had I found myself chasing Karter or taking a nap. I hope to add to my year in review, little by little whenever I get a spare moment. Hope your family had a great year too!

Miss Rexburg, Miss Upper Valley
The Evans' girls went out to another pageant this weekend--Miss Rexburg and Miss Upper Valley. It was a two-for-one pageant, not sure how that really works, but they gave out two crowns one for Miss Rexburg and one for Miss Upper Valley. This pageant was actually a lot of fun. The talent was the most interesting they had a wide variety from the usual singing to drums and a girl even beat boxed with her flute.... The girl that played the drums won Miss Rexburg, she had a cute personality so that was nice and Miss Upper Valley went to a girl who danced, she was one of my picks to win, so it was nice to get it half right. (each pageant we judge them ourselves and take notes on who we think will win, so far I'm 1:3) These two girls get to go to Boise for the title Miss Idaho, we'll see how the do. I think the next pageant is another Jr. Miss, I'll keep you posted. The bummer of the evening is when I got home and found Karter with a fever and not feeling that great. We battled his fever all weekend (poor guy) and I took him in on Monday thinking it was his ears, but it was his throat, so he's on antibiotics. I'm sick of sickness!!! I feel so bad for him, because he just got over a cold and now this and to top it off, this morning his cold seems to be back, oh well I guess you win some and you lose some. Hurry summer and chase the sickness away!!!!

Pumpkins and Moons
Karter loves to read, especially books with moons or pumpkins. I'm not sure why he has such a love for pumpkins and moon. He should be set for Halloween this year :) It's so cute how excited he gets when he sees the moon at night (especially a full moon), he squeals out the window and says over and over moon, moon. It's funny and makes me appreciate the little things.
