We used to always get happy smiles from Baby Laela when she was on the changing table. Well, Dhillon has followed suit! What is so interesting is the common facial features between the two (You can really see if after you mentally remove the baby fat from Laela's cheeks!).

Dhillon - 1 year
Happy 1st Birthday, Dhillon!
Dhillon amazes us everyday. He is very quiet, but so smart...and loving!
Weight: TBA
Length: TBA
Head Circumference: TBA
•He wears a size 4 diaper.
•He is in size 18-24 months in clothes.
•He wears size 5 shoe.
•He is in size 18-24 months in clothes.
•He wears size 5 shoe.
•He drinks 3, 8 oz whole milk/formula bottles. He drinks milk in a sippy cup, but prefers the warmed milk in a bottle. We are going to have to do away with this quick, because he is not going to be the kid carrying his bottle when he is FIVE!!
- This kid WAS eating everything, but he got sic a couple weeks ago and he is being a little picky. Right now he is between table food and jar food. Really it comes down to...he is just LAZY and wants someone to do the work for him. :) We call him 'lazy bones'.
•He says Dada for Ro and Duh when he sees the dog! Oh, he does say 'mama' every once in awhile, but not directly to me. Yes! I did give birth to this kid, but he does not act like it!
•Dhillon is the HAPPIEST baby ever, but when daddy is around, all bets are OFF! He is so much a daddy's boy and I am pretty sure that Ro would have it no other way. :) Also, Dhillon is very go with the flow. He does an awesome job of watching Laela at soccer and dance or he makes a great shopping buddy!

Dhillon's 1st birthday party....
Hot Diggity Dog......Happy 1st Birthday, Dhillon!
We had a wonderful Mickey Mouse birthday party with many of our closest friends and family today.
This cake looked and tasted AWESOME! I was so excited about it and happy we made the choice to order it from Sweet Art Bakery. They did a fantastic job!
And I had to make these Mickey Mouse cookies, too! We've got ears, say cheers!
A few little added extras that I made...
Oh! How cute is D's shirt? I found it on Etsy and I love it. Laela has one with Minne's skirt, legs, and high heels. CUTE! They will be great for our Disney trip too!
We ordered a BIG bounce house for our little guy and his friends, but with the rain it did not happen. Thanks to friends who brought over their smaller bounce house. What a saving grace. The kids bounced and bounced!
Dhillon did okay with his cake. He did not make a mess, like we expected him to. He actually did not even eat it! Totally a shocker to me.
He also had a blast opening presents. Dhillon had several helpers who were very eager to open gifts, but he did get some great BOY stuff (cars, planes, trucks, farm, clothes, etc). YEA!
Thanks again, for those that were able to make it out. Dhillon was one happy little guy tonight! :) Toodles!

Laela started Pre-K....
My sweet, baby girl started Pre-K last week. Same school, but she just moved up to the next class. And with the next class, came a UNIFORM. I know...crazy....but she looks awesome!
Several people have asked her how Pre-K is going and she quickly responds...."I am getting ready for Kindergarten. I will be 5 soon (June of 2013) and then I will go to Kindergarten." I know! This crazy kid thinks she is all ready for Kinder.....no! Mommy is not ready yet, but here's to a fantastic year of Pre-K!!!

Allen Eagle Stadium opened!!!
The stadium is done! The stadium is done! IF you don't know much about this stadiium, you MUST google it. You will find that there is a weight room and golf simulator BELOW the stadium. Read up on it...I promise you will be amazed!
All of us have been watching this stadium go from dirt to this monstrous building, so of course we had to be there on opening night!
Ro stood in line for 2 hours and got tickets! The problem was....they sold 22,000 tickets for an 18,000 seat stadium. YIKES! You can only imagine the craziness...and yes....we were there with two kiddos. (we even suckered the neighbors and some friends into going with us too!)
The best part of the night.....the band at half-time! Allen's band has over 800 members and it was AWESOME!!! After they performed, they combined with the other band for over 1000 members and performed a song. WONDERFUL. Just wonderful.

Play time!
A lot of our Labor Day weekend was spent together and we had an awesome time! One of the days, we went to the mall and just let L and D play. They had soooo much fun!
Laela didn't really "play" at these indoor play areas when she was little, so it is fun to watch D. :) He is a serious mover and shaker!

Soccer and Dance update!
Laela finished her 2nd soccer season on Saturday. She has made so much progress and we are very excited to see what happens during the next season. Thanks to everyone who has come watch her play....she SOOOOO appreciates you! We will continue into our next season, on a new team because she is now in a league that she can only play with girls. It worked out well because we found out that several of her friends at school are on a team and we were able to get on their team! She is now a Honey Bee and very excited about it!
Just an update on Laela's dance class....she LOVES dance! For some reason, she still wants me to walk her right to the door, but she goes in a starts right away! Her favorite is tap (because the shoes are loud) but she is also working on ballet and tumbling. Her teachers are awesome and she just has a lot of fun! Not a super pic, but it was the only one I got. She is 2nd from the end with a black leotard and bent over.
We are so proud of Laela for trying new things, but most of all for giving it her ALL. When she plays soccer or she is on the dance floor, she really listens to her teacher/coach and tries her best. Way to go, Laela! We love you!!!

Laela's First Dance Class...
Laela was taking a small dance class at daycare, but she started the real 'dance school' today. She goes every Monday evening and she will have a recital in May!
Madelynn is joining us too! (I LOVE this picture because it really shows their personalities.)
Well...I was a little blind-sided by this one. Laela was so excited. She has been talking about dance for months now. This girl has shown us moves that I didn't even know existed...then...we stepped into the room and she started crying. Oh my GOODNESS! Laela cried for almost 10 mintues (Not as long as she cried for her first soccer game, so that is progress.) She did not do any of the tap. Then came ballet. They changed shows and she did not perform, but she didn't cry! Then they did a little tumbling and she did her roll-over and table-top walk! Here she is doing stretches (or at least thinking about doing them!)
Oh the way home she told me, "Mom, I will do better next Monday!" No prob Laela. You make me crazy, but I still love ya!
BTW....when we got home, Laela put on her tap shoes and she did everything the teachers did. She wasn't perfoming today, but she was listening ... which is what I told her to do ... always be a good listener at school! :) LOVE THAT GIRL! Soon she will be rockin' it. It may take her a little bit to get warmed up, but she will do GREAT!

Circus 2012...
We took our yearly trip to see Ringling Bros. Circus. This year, the Eung's and Parker's joined us and we had a great time!
The beginning had everyone on stage and it was awesome!
D was all eyes and ears! This was his first circus, so he was taking in everything!
Okay...lasted for the first 40 minutes and then he was OUT! (Yes...he napped through the CIRCUS...elephants, tigers, clowns, LOUD music, etc.) Way to go, son!
About 45 minutes of nap was all he needed!

Thought this picture was awesome, but it is turned sideways (and I can't seem to fix it.) SORRY!

First haircut for D...
It has been time for the last month or two, but I worried about his swivel head! L and I were a the kid salon getting her hair trimmed up (pictures at the bottom) so I just scheduled D an appointment. He getting wings on the back sides and the top was just too long.
Before...
This kid was watching EVERYONE's movement! He also heard music (no one else heard it) and he was dancing like crazy during his haircut, but the lady continued to cut and did awesome!
The after... :)
Happy pictures with his handsome new haircut, daddy, and sister!!! We were all so proud of our little buddy!
And L's trim because at least 2 1/2 inches off of her hair. It look so much better and I think she feels better now. She is constantly wanting to wear her hair down, so this will help a little with the heat and tangles! This was her 4th or 5th haircut, but she has never had her hair washed by the stylist. Ahhhhh...
