This morning while the boys were playing with the new trains and stuff I set out to make a template for our blog. I wanted something that more reflected the title 'Seeing Redd'. As you can see I think it fits the bill quite nicely. Special thanks to Sven Geier and his Fractals Bargain Bin for providing wonderful copyleft images that I used to create the background and banner. They are great art.
BTW I also updated the profile pictures, with much more recent pictures of us.

Three Years of Fun!
How fast time seems to fly when you have a two year old around. Corbin has kept us busy the last three years. He has such a happy vibrant personality it is hard not to love him. There is also a flip side of him that makes me wonder if I can make it through a day of Corbin. His smile is contagious. Sometimes when I have gotten upset, he starts singing a song. Then he will ask, "did my some make you feel Happy now mommy?" He can always make me smile but sometimes I tell him I may need a few more songs. He just loves to see people happy.
Here is a recap of Corbin. The pictures were too cute to just choose one.

MEMORY LANE
My Cousin had this on her blog. This could be scary, but I thought I would give it a try. You can leave a memory for either Andrew or Tiffany or both if you feel like it.
1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty cool (and funny) to see the responses.

Life in Texas

RAINY DAYs
Andrew got caught in a big rainstorm on his bike the other day. He called me from work to say he was coming home. It was a little overcast, but nothing much. Before he was halfway home it was raining so hard he had to take refuge in a park. In any case, by the time he arrived home he was drenched to the bone. He took Corbin outside with him to go play in the rain.

SUNNY DAYs
As you may notice, we do a lot of water activities around our place. The boys love water in any context: pool water, doggy water, toilet water. I try to find safe, and semi-cleaner outlets for them to explore water.

Just chill'n

Carter just loves it outside, no matter what we are doing

Early Training for healthy teeth

Walking
Carter has made the final transition to full time walker. He wants to try to get around on two feet. He still falls down, but instead of reverting to crawling he has been getting back up and trying to walk again. I think he is frustrated because he is still wobbly and can't run yet. He is such a fast crawler, that walking has been a drag up to now.
Doggy
Carter loves playing with Kaydee. She is really good to play gentle with him. He loves it when he can get her to take the toy from him. He is always bringing her toys. He also loves to play in her dog food. He is such a tease. Some of you may have seen video. Ii thought it was fun so I put it on the blog too. Enjoy!

Independence Day
I have decided that holidays are the hardest times for me to be far away from family. I LOVE big family get togethers with all the cousins and the kids and the water fights and the delicious food. Our town really clears out in the summer because everyone goes off to visit family and such. Anyway, we just did our own little thing this year. We were planning on going to see the Firework Show at Washington on the Brazos State Park (where Texas' Independence was signed). In the morning we went to the ward Flag Ceremony and Breakfast. I had both the boys dressed really cute, but I forgot my camera, opps. About halfway thru the breakfast Corbin announced he was feeling sick. I rushed him to the bathroom. He had been sick earlier in the week but had seemed fine the last day or so. It is hard to know how 'sick' he is really feeling. I was mistaken to think I could make it all the way to the bathroom before he threw up all over himself, all over me, the floor and the toliet once we finally got there. So it made for a great start that day and we decided to scratch the firework show to be safe. We took the boys to a Splash Pad instead. Corbin had a blast. We are going to have his birthday party here most likly. Carter was not so sure. Anyway, here are some of the pictures I took later in the day after I got Corbin all cleaned up again.

He is walking better everyday,
he won't stand still long enough to snap a picture.
I will have to make a video so you can see him walking

And he's off!
Carter loves riding the rocket around the house
