While the SF library and the SF café hold their winter sleep, with few breaks, new things happen next door. And this has impact on the SF world, too. Why? Thanks to the owner of the Café and library, Lygia Simetzberger, has joined the Steemit community in December 2017, she would report about science fiction and fronge science topics on Steemit and already did.
Steemit is a fantastic new type of social media where authors also get rewarded for their writings. But moreoverm it is a door to the world and to meet very active and openminded people, also in reality at Steemit Fests and Meetups.

To help newcomers and to collect useful tips and links, the Steemit Burgenland Academy was founded in January 2017. More than just a blog, this institutions is also meant as a base and meeting point for Steemians.

Yes, it’s real. It’s absolutely real. Both the SF café and the SF library we are talking about do exist in reality, too. It’s not just another blog with a funny name. It is situated in the countryside in a peaceful hilly area of Austria. More to come.
