Portland Bridge Pedal

Sunday joined in on the Portland Bridge Pedal. The city shut down almost every bridge in the city ( thats a lot of bridges!) and over 20,000 people hopped on their bikes to do a 6, 8, or 10 bridge course. I did the 6, 12 miles. It was to say the least intense. There were so many people, we had to get off our bikes and walk in places. WOAH! Ive never seen so many bikes in my life!

Ok, so I went to the Oregon International Air Show on sat. and OMG. If you've never seen the Blue Angels fly...you're well just missing out on life.

LAIKA

I just moved to Portland Oregon this past week and am interning at Laika House for lighting/animation...I moved into an apt a few blocks from work and so far it's really empty and cold at night, but other than that I really like it here, so people need to come n visit asap!!!!

Side Project

So, I've got a side project going with Chris Boylan and couple other people who I met at Bishop. Unfortunately, everyone is scattered all over the country now, but I think if we can pull this off, its going to rock! The concept came off of one of my character drawings I did last semester. The basic story as of now is..

boy meets girl,
boy trys to impress girl by changing,
turns out, girl likes boy just the way he is...wow

I know, cheesy, but it will get better. Here are some color studies of the boy horse. I originally had the idea of a Peter de Seve look but in 3D. Can we pull it off? We'll see.....

Mote Marine

I went with Gwynne to the Mote Marine this morning to draw. It was super crowded and the fish didn't help much with all their swimming about. I decided to take one of my sketches and try something with pattern. This is what came out of it all... I'm not sure if I like the colors, maybe I'll switch them up if I get the chance.

I had a disappointing day today, so I decided to spend my night doing something that relaxes me rather than doing something I'm unsure about. Don't worry I'll get back into thesis tomorrow.
