And then...I made mantı! Again! I've made mantı a few times over the years, only once before by myself, and this time was the best so far! The dough was great, the filling the right amount, and I actually made enough for second helpings!

Then I made cookies, but I was making two types of cookies at once, and I mixed up the two bowls of batter. Oops! So I put them all together into one giant batch of batter...and it worked out! Oatmeal cocoa cookies, yum!

Crafts in 2025 Roundup, Knitting in the Wild, Profiteroles, and More

My crafts of 2025 roundup!

This is blog post 1555 on my writing blog!

I've been inspired by this 2025 in Review post by Osborn Fiber Studio

Here's my roundup of crafts in 2024...and an overview!

Winter
Our Flag Means Death knitting, Swiss porcelain, and more
Crafts in progress, and OFMD frame!

Spring
Tolkien's art in tapestry form!
Hodge podge, featuring yarn chicken!

Summer
Baking and other adventures
OFMD baking fun
Crochet, knitting, nature, dessert

Autumn
Baking, colouring, and other crafts
Edinburgh arts and crafts

I kind of seem to stay at the same level each year... My goals for 2025 were: "For this year, so far I've got a knit-a-long planned, for a pair of mittens! I've had the same goals for ages, to improve at crochet, to try spinning...but I think just making it a habit to knit more regularly will be enough!"

I sort of accomplished this. Finished the mittens, practiced crochet some more (my granny squares were more like granny circles...), and started and mostly finished a few other knitting projects!

The Osborn Fiber Studio 2026 Vision Board is very inspiring!

I don't want to set too many goals for 2026. My main goal is to take more time to teach the kids to knit. And to finish the blanket I started while on holiday. And take a good, hard look at my wips...
