Brag alert: sorry but I just gotta...Madi's pretty great!

As some of you know, had a great trip this summer, road tripped some of it with my friend Kate (whom I love and adore) and also got some one on one time with my Madi! The whole trip was a blast, and it was fun to have some girly time.
I am so in awe with my daughter-each day she amazes me with these hidden talents that she discovers and develops. Her latest is photography, I am going to post some favorites of mine that she took, she has always been one that has paid attention to detail, even when she was little, she would say..."mom did you see this or that" and I would have no clue to what she was talking about, and then she would point out the most significant detail that most people overlook without question. Well that gift she's using in her photos and I can see she has a knack for it! Love you kiddo!

Ok-so last week, I got myself up out of bed early in the morning (dark) to drag my butt to the gym...and when I flipped on the bathroom light...THIS is what I saw...I giggled for about 2 minutes. And decided this was Bed Head especial...you can't create this kinda bed head...Poor jason..having to wake up to this sight every day..
Gotta love him! I do!

Okay-so I'm like 5 days too late! But just wanted to let everyone know that THIS is the YEAR! It's gonna be a great one! I am so grateful for technology so that I am able to keep in touch with all the wonderful family/friends I have been blest with. Thanks for all of your blogs/facebook posts..they make my day.

I'm Thankful for the FLEAS!!

After the last month-when so many people were saying what they were grateful for-I decided I would try it as an experiment. What I came away with was a fuller appreciation for the blessings I have been given..and just have to say the one thing I have learned is that if you really look for the blessings in your life-you WILL see them. If you don't think you have any-then you will see that as well....but don't stay their long...cause once you switch your thoughts back to the positive-you will notice more and more that you are given and it may be things you over-look daily. I have heard of a story from the book called the Hiding place where 2 girls smuggled in a bible to read as they were locked up in the barracks 28 of Ravensbruck during WWII and they read about the commandment of being grateful for ALL things...even the FLEAS. Which later they found was the reason they never got caught with the Bible-because the guards wouldn't enter their place because of the fleas.
