The NFL released it’s full schedule on Wednesday so let’s take a look at the upcoming Bears season, and where I think they will end up!

Week 1: Vikings- The Bears kickoff the season at home against the Vikings. This will be a good test to see where they are at. Vikings come in with a new QB. Bears have a new coach/Offense. Should be fun. Bears win in a close one. W

Week 2: At Lions- Another great early test for the Bears. This time vs Ben Johnson’s old team, minus his offense of course. The Lions have a very good defense but Johnson knows it’s weaknesses. I like the Bears here too. W

Week 3: Cowboys: Dallas added George Pickens to CD Lamb to give Dak Prescott a little more bang in their arsenal. Maybe I am drinking the Kool-Aid here, but I think this is a winnable game. W

Week 4: At Raiders- The Raiders should be a little better than their 2024 record with additions of Geno Smith at QB, and Ashton Genty at RB. I think the Bears will keep riding their win streak in Vegas. W

Week 5: BYE

Week 6: At Commanders- Fresh off the BYE the Bears head to DC for a Monday Night rematch of the ‘Fail Mary’ game from last season. The Commanders are a playoff team with Daniels at QB. This should be a great game, but I don’t think the Bears are there yet. L

Week 7: Saints- Saints come marching in for a noon game on the lakefront. Bears should get back to their winning ways. W

Week 8: At Ravens- Not much to say. The Ravens are way ahead of where the Bears are. This one could get ugly. L

Week 9: At Bengals- If Cincinnati is healthy, this one could be a blow out. L

Week 10: Giants- The New York football Giants come to town. Last season they had 3 wins and added Abdul Carter in the draft. Will Russel Wilson or Jaxson Dart be the QB? Don’t think it will matter. W

Week 11: At Vikings- Minnesota is always a tough place to play. They will be better the 2nd time around. Maybe. I think it will be close. L

Week 12: Steelers- Pittsburgh comes to town for a noon tilt. DK Metcalf is an upgrade over George Pickens but at the moment, their QB room is a little lacking. They moved on from both Russell Wilson and Justin Fields. Even if Aaron Rodgers (rumor) signs with them, I don’t think at this point in his career it will be enough. W

Week 13: At Eagles- This one will be tough. Not sure it will be close. L

Week 14: At Packers- If both teams are at full strength this should be a great game. However, it’s week 14 so all bets are off. I think it will be close, but I think the Packers win. L

Week 15: Browns- The poor Browns. Why do they keep being punished by the football gods? W

Week 16: Packers- Coming off what should basically be a bye, I think the Bears have the answer for Green Bay at home. W

Week 17: At 49ers- Historically the Bears have not done well vs San Francisco, especially in December. Might be close, and it kind of depends on how healthy the 9ers are. L

Week 18: Lions- The Bears close out the season with a home game vs Detroit. This could have playoff implications for both teams. W

Looks like I have the Bears winning 10 and losing 7 this season. Seems a little lofty, coming off a 5 win season. I think they still need help on the defensive line. New offense, new head coach, should give them at least 3 wins. Hell, everyone is excited after the schedule is released right? Bear Down!
