One Month Old

What an adventure September has been! The best, strangest month of my life! Lots of adjusting to do - but I think we are doing pretty well. Our hearts have grown quadruple their "pre-Spud" size! We LOVE this little man so very much! Beware, there are like 15 pics of him below! But, my sister moved to dang St. George right before Spud was born and so has not seen him since he was brand new! She needs pictures, and that's what blogs are for right?! Maybe I should blog more often so my posts aren't so long though huh?
Who is cuter than Dylan Hanson? ImageI keep just missing his smile, which he is doing a lot more of these days! We got some cute happy faces though!

Image Not his best photo - but I had to post for my sister because I think he looks so much like my nephew Brayden sometimes!

GAME NIGHT!
These are from Monday - which is when Steve has softball. So, we put Spud in his baseball duds - but we didn't make it to the game because it was at 9:30 pm - maybe next time. His little outfit says "Daddy's All-Star."
Image Some more of his cute/funny faces!
Image His mohawk looks a little out of control in these pics - it is cuter in real life! His cowlicks just kinda make it go together and stand up like that - and it stays that way even if you try to comb it down, pops right back up!

ImageHe really loves his Daddy - they are so cute together. Steve just stares and laughs at him all the time and says "Can you believe how cute he is, I can't look away, he's mesmerizing!" Here they are having a staring contest.
Image This day I combed his hairs all flat to his head to see how he would look - cute, but goofy!
Image This is one of Steve's favorite faces of Dylan. He loves to be held like this - makes his gassy tummy feel better I guess!Image Spud's first trip to Granny Annie's house in Orem. She needed a "Dylan fix"!ImageMy mom is the first person he smiled at - and he just keeps smiling at her! He loves her voice I guess. He smiled cute for Steve's mom too last weekend. He is finally starting to smile at me and Steve this week - but he held out and only smiled for Grandma's for a good week! He knows how to win 'em over - they'll be sneaking him treats before we know it!

2 Weeks Old

My sweet baby is 2 weeks old. Having a baby is such a time warp. It seems like he was just born yesterday, and like I have had him forever at the same time. I have been chillin' with Dylan in my apartment for 2 weeks - I've left the house like 3 times! It's amazing how one tiny little person can make you forget about everything else you had going on in your life. I had been so stressed about work, church stuff (I got released from RS presidency today!), trying to buy a house, etc. up until August 30th! Now I could care less about anything going on outside my front door - both of us just eat, sleep, and poop all day (and change diapers, and do baby laundry)! I love it! We went to the doctor today and he now weighs 9 pounds - he is in the 50 percentile for everything. Just an average guy - who is ridiculously good looking!

My sister-in-law found this shirt and obviously had to buy it even though it is a size 4! "Spud" seems to have stuck to the poor kid!
Image Me and Spud doing what we do best - hanging out in our PJ's all day!

ImageOur first outing - we went for a walk on the Parkway a couple days ago. Steve calls this deluxe travel system a "baby cadillac".

ImageHe loves to sleep with his arms up like this - so cute!
Image Grandma Rolayne with Dylan - she sure loves this guy and loves being a grandma, finally!

Announcing Dylan Ronald Hanson

Our little "Spud" is now Dylan Ronald Hanson. He and Stephanie are doing well. He was born Sunday, August 30 at 2:56pm and weighed 8 lbs 9 oz and was 21.5 inches long--pretty big for a potato.
He has two cowlicks on the back of his head, which cause his hair to form a little mohawk, and he is covered with man fur on his arms, back and ears. He had a little jaundice, which required phototherapy/bililights (see pictures in last post), but we went back to the hospital today and he is 100% healthy! The bililights made him look like a glow worm or a space alien from planet Smurf who is here to explore our fine ski resorts. ImageImage
