Please welcome Teresa as our card guest designer this month!

Hi, my name is Teresa, I am a single parent to Tyler who is 21 and away at University studying Stage Management.  I live in Sittingbourne, Kent in the United Kingdom and I am currently working as a Supervisor for a Frozen Food Supermarket, but in my spare time I love to make cards.

I have been crafting on and off for many years, starting with knitting and cross stitch.  After a back operation in 2013, I found myself with lots of spare time and decided to set up a blog to start showing my cards and I haven't looked back since.

My passion is colouring with my Copic and ProMarkers, but recently I have move towards clean and simple cards made with die cuts.  I have a love for snowflakes, so found this sketch perfect.

Please welcome Catalina as our January single page guest designer!

 

My name is Catalina Ramírez, I am a mother of two children and a teacher. I love handmade and scrapbooking, of course. Also, I am always looking for something new to learn or perfect.

In social networks you can find me in my blog and instagram.

I show you my interpretation of the current challenge. My daughters and their cousin usually meet in the countryside, there they play, laugh, get dirty and have a great time. And the weather is not an impediment to this.

I used a nice collection of Dear Lizzy, machine seams and fussy cutting.

January guest designer... Jean!

As the mom of two adult children who are both married, I have been scrapping less than when the kids were little. But that is going to change now that I have a new a granddaughter. My style has also changed over the years and now includes a variety of mixed media elements including texture paste, inks and mica flakes. I love starting with a sketch and this two pager inspired me! The first thing I thought of when I saw it was some kind of weather and in particular, winter.

A few years ago my daughter and her fiancé visited Michigan for Christmas. Living out west, and not being used to this kind of weather, my daughter made sure her fiance enjoyed outdoor activities such as sledding and skiing. I was able to create a wintery scene by dripping a paint wash from the top and adding texture paste snowbanks to the bottom. Vellum snowflakes and mica flakes added a snowy feel to the background.
