iPhone photo dump: November

Thanks to a very generous birthday gift from my parents, I am no longer one of the few people left who belong to the flip phone club. I have joined the iPhone world and love it. It means I have million more random pictures of my kids since I have a camera handy all the time. Here are some keepers from this month:

He is starting to like her a lot more, although I think the main reason he likes to hold her is just to make Hannah jealous.

It never stops raining here in Washington.  Never.

Bought Jackson this scooter at a yard sale.  He could ride it for hours at a time.  If only it would stop raining.

This baby is so smiley.

Our little elf.  The hair on the back of her head always sticks straight up.

These kids love peanut butter.  They ate it straight from the jar when they couldn't wait for me to make them a sandwich.

Jackson blew dry his own hair and put on makeup.  Fancy.

Happy Thanksgiving!

We found out last minute that Jack had Thanksgiving day off, yeah!  Thanksgiving morning we went to see Wreck it Ralph and invited our other residency friends to come along.  Hannah enjoyed it, mostly I think because she got to sit with her friends in a theater and eat candy.  Jackson got bored about 1 hour in and it was a little too loud for Jane, so the three of us ended up wandering the empty mall waiting for the movie to end.

Image
Jackson was extremely proud of the Oreo turkey he made, in fact he requested we take his picture with it (he never wants us to take his picture) and he tried so hard to save it so he could take it home.

Image
Hannah loved spending the day with her friends.  She is such a social girl.

Later that night we had a potluck with the same friends.  The food turned out delicious, the company was great, the kids had so much fun running around in the gym with the dads, the moms got to chat and play a game, it was a great night.

The kids table.  It was a little crazy over there!

The whole group: Harrisons, Kenningtons, Phillips, Stringhams, Hansens, and Klinglers

I am grateful for our experience in Spokane so far, for Jack's job that he loves and the things we've learned and the friends we've made here.  Happy Thanksgiving!

Oh Brother

Hannah and Jane had to get their vaccinations the other day.  Hannah went first and, in her typical dramatic fashion, began screaming before she was even poked.  When Jackson saw what was happening, he ran to my diaper bag, grabbed and pen and wielded it at the nurse saying, "I'm going to shoot you girl!  I am going to shoot you with my shot you girl!"  By the time it was Jane's turn to scream, I had to physically hold him back from poking the nurse with my pen.

Oh Jackson,  you are such a funny boy.  I know you love your sisters even when you tell me things like, "Sometimes I hate Jane, Mom, and sometimes I hit her."

Two Months Old

Jane is two months old!  She is so sweet and wonderful and beautiful and makes my heart feel full.  She is smiley and happy and we love having her in our family!

She is growing and now weighs 10 lbs 11 oz (40th %) and is 22.75 inches long (70th %).  Her head is 14.75" (32nd %).  She is a great sleeper and usually wakes just once in the night around 5:00 am to eat (so much better than my other two at this age).  She loves when her siblings pay attention to her and rewards them with gummy smiles.  She loves to cuddle, but being the third child means she doesn't get to be held as much as she'd like (or as much as I'd like)!  But most of the time she is content in her swing if we can't hold her.

My sweet friend Heather took these pictures of her last week:

Whatever the weather is, we are trying to enjoy our last year of having all four seasons for awhile!
