On Hold...

If you haven't been able to tell.  This whole switching it up thing has slowed right on down.  Exercise besides walking is pretty much out of the question for about the next 6-8 weeks most likely.  I will be back in full swing again soon.  Tchau for now!

I'm a Slacker!!

My blog is seriously lacking!  I have so much going on these days.  For some reason everything seems to fall apart/ go wrong when I decided to make a life/habit change.  I am happy to say that I have managed to lose ONE more pound...for a whopping total of 4!!  It's time to kick it up a notch!  I have tested out my jogging stroller and I LOVE it!!  I will work harder on keeping this up...the blog and the life changes, but you are going to have to bear with me as it is going to be quite the LONG process!

It's been a month?!

Sheesh! Time passes by so quickly. So, this month didn't go exactly how I had hoped. I haven't gotten myself into a routine of any kind. I am finding it hard to get motivated to exercise. That will be my goal for month 2!! I definately have been more aware of what I am eating...I am trying to limit portion sizes. I haven't deprived myself of treats completely. I need to slow down on them though...Eric, don't buy any more cookies!! :) I am happy that I lost 3 pounds this month! I am definately hoping to lose more this next month! I am needing some healthy recipe ideas! Any suggestions? Feel free to email me @ sniggi@gmail.com ! Thanks for your support everyone. Now I'm going to get my butt in gear and be as motivated as I was when I started this a month ago!

I've made it 3 weeks...

...barely! I am happy to post this time that I, by some miracle, was able to lose 2 pounds this past week...for a grand total of 3!! Woot! Sadly I didn't find the time to get my new jogging stroller together. I'm still in the process of unpacking boxes and finding stuff for all of our junk. We have too much! So, I am still lacking in the exercise department...(I did get a short walk in with the kids...one night. Does that count?) That is my goal for this week. Oh, and I did struggle with the snacking bit the last couple days. Addison and I enjoyed a few to many Nilla Wafers yesterday. Oops! Alright friends....until next week. I hope to have good news next week also!

2 weeks...already?!

Alright, I haven't been able to post as often as I'd like. Life has been throwing bumps and curves in my way these last two weeks! This is what usually happens to me when I decide that I need to make a lifestyle change. Bear with me. I am getting off to a rough start. Give me a couple more weeks to get into a groove! This past week my physical exercise was centered around lugging around a clingy one year old. Packing and moving boxes, and walking up and down a million stairs, at least!

I have had a hard time not snacking and have not been making the best food choices. I am happy to say that I didn't gain my whopping one pound back...I didn't lose any this week (I actually thought I would gain), but I maintained.

We are getting more settled in our new place every day. So the whole it takes two weeks to make a habit thing...is more like it takes a month...we'll see. I am really really hoping to get my jogging stroller together and take it for a test run sometime this weekend.

I have not been good this week.  With me being sick for a couple days and us getting ready to move I have justified why I am eating what I am eating way to often.  I'm not looking forward to my weigh in that's coming up in a couple days.....

Update

I gave in and weighed in this morning.  Much to my surprise I lost a pound over the last week.  It was a really rough week all around so that was encouraging to see.  Here's hoping to many more pounds are lost in the weeks to come!!
