Boondocks

My mom was in town for Ali's blessing and Cam's birthday this year. She wanted to do something extra fun for Cam so we headed to Boondocks. Cam loves it there! Every time he sees a commerical for it, he begs to go. He loves the arcades games. This was the first time we were there when it was nice outside, so he got to explore the outside activities.
Thanks Mom! Cam loved it! I am glad you did too!!

Pioneer Day

We went to the fun parade in Bountiful for the 24th of July. The Raymonds were visiting that week so I got to spend some time with one of my favorite people...Maggie! It was so fun to see her and little Hunter. It was cute to see Cam and him play together. I wish we lived closer!!

Tubby Time

Not sure if she doesn't enjoy being bathed on the kitchen counter with the windows open or if she is just a serious bather, but it is almost impossible to get a smile from her during tubby time.

Still. She is the cutest, serious bather I know!

Park Adventure

A couple weeks ago Studio 5 had a segment on some of the best parks around town. One of them was in Kaysville so we decided to venture out and see what the talk was all about.

It was so much fun! I highly recommend it!

Isn't this swing the coolest?

Comparison

They are about the same age here...both seem to enjoy sucking on their arms too!

Do you think they look alike?
I do!

Smile bug

Ali smiled for the first time on July 5th, just shy of 6 weeks.
It was so precious and awesome.
Soon after she smiled for me, Cam got a smile out of her. He was so excited! And to be honest, he barely had to try, unlike me.
She has been smiley ever since and smiles the biggest for her Mommy!

July 4th

On Monday we wanted to take a little drive, so we headed out to Morgan. I had never been there and wasn't sure what we were going to do, but I am so glad we went. It is a cute little town and it wasn't too far...the perfect distance for Ali's first big car ride.
We went to a diner for lunch then stopped at a church to feed Ali before we headed back home.

Don't they look so much alike?

It was an overcast day but it was still too bright for these babies to open their eyes for this picture!

While I was feeding the girl...

Cam was playing in the rocks. He could have stayed here all day playing with them. It is his most favorite thing to do no matter where we are.

After we got home from Morgan we took our afternoon naps and headed out to the Davis fireworks. We have gone to the Davis fireworks the last couple years and they are great. I love being outside on the blanket, playing, snacking and best of all...people watching. Man, you see some interesting people in places like this.
Cam was so excited to watch fireworks yet another night!

Papa was the lucky one this night and got to snuggle next to Cam for the show.

Grammy was lucky to cuddle this little angel...
(Ali woke up a little after the fireworks started. She actually watched and enjoyed them.)

Parade

On Saturday morning we attended the Centerville parade! We go every year and it is my most favorite part of the weekend, besides the fireworks!

We had our usual Old Navy flag shirts on and were all matchy matchy. It was so fun to have Cam match Ali too!!

The people in the parade through candy and treats out to the kids. Cam sure loved that part! He had a TON of taffy.

Jon and Rach came with us this year and we are so glad! It was great to have them. This is a rare picture to have, Jon holding a baby. I'm sure that will change when they have kids someday!

It sure is fun dressing a girl!

Fourth of July weekend

I love love the Fourth of July. It is one of my favorite times of the year. We always do so much that weekend and I love all the celebrations we go to. This year was even more fun because Cam understood what was going on and talked non stop about going to the fireworks.

On Friday night Centerville had their kids parade. We decorated Cam's wagon with his friend, Porter, and took them cruising. It was a hot day and we got there a little after the parade had already started, but the kids had a blast! And...we had the best decorated wagon there. Hands down!

And who doesn't enjoy a complimentary Pace popsicle afterwards?!

We end the parade at Founder's park where they have a ton of bouncy houses for the kids to play in. They also have a concert later that evening and then fireworks. The kids enjoyed a little climbing, bouncing and sliding before we hung out on blankets and jammed with the band.
