I started playing Celtic harp as a teen and studied pedal harp at the University of Washington. Later, while living in Turkey, I fell in love with the kanun (qanoon). I have performed Turkish, Arabic, Persian, Azeri, Balkan, Roma, and Celtic music with various ensembles including The San Diego Turkish Music Chorus, Alwani Orchestra, and the Music House Arabic Ensemble.
