The kids had less than 1 full day of school this last week because of the snow. It's been fun. We've have really missed the snow since we moved to Virginia. (Except when we've gone back to visit Idaho.) Of course, this last winter when we left my parents house, I asked if we could leave all of our good snow clothes there in their attic since we were only transporting it back and forth. So in the last 6 weeks, we've had 3 pretty good snow storms. I have decent snow clothing here but all our good stuff is sitting safely tucked away in Idaho. But, that doesn't deter my kids from being out enjoying all the white stuff!

Nicali's New Haircut

A couple of weeks ago, Nicali woke up and came to me all excited and said she had a dream with her hair cut short. Well, that was a surprise to me because all her life she's wanted long hair. So, I let her think about it for a couple of weeks. Yesterday, I asked her again if she still wanted to have her hair cut - she did, so we found pictures and took them to the hairstylist. Below you will see the great results - She looks so cute and she loves it!

Happy Halloween!

Nicali decided to be Ariel and Hannah is the Snow Queen. It was a full moon, 71 degrees and very nice to be walking up and down the neighborhood. They were both so cute and made a haul because we don't get many kids in our area so they neighbors wanted to make sure the candy didn't stay in their own home. The girls so sweetly shared with their brothers and their 4 friends because the boys didn't go Trick or Treating (one disadvantage of being a teenager) :(

Lucky Girl

Nicalil recently brought these home from school. I thought they were cute. It's nice to know that she appreciates her family, friends and home. What a great girl! I am the one who is lucky because she is my daughter.
