Time sure flies! Another school year has gone by and it's the Summer if 2012. Andrew had Scout Camp a few weeks ago and is growing like a week! As of May 29 he is officially a teenager so now there are two of us in the house. Olivia is really getting the hang of swimming and has gotten very tan from being in the sun so much. Her and mom turn golden from being in the sun, but I seem to get pinker. No complaints though, I just have to lather on the sun screen. Emmett has playing outside as much as he can with neighbors and cousins. He heads outside with them during the day and comes back hours later after the adventure is done (or when it's time for dinner). He builds giant lego ships for his action figures and sings pretty much where ever he goes. Usually it's not loud enough for anyone to hear, but it's super cute. Mom and Dad are just as spectacular as ever! Mom is teaching swimming lessons in the neighborhood and is using the money she earns to pay for the class Andrew and I will be doing in the fall. Wow. Can you believe that? Honestly, she is so selfless and considerate to do that for us. She is also tons of fun and I can always talk to her. She and Dad are both so loving. I have a fantastic Dad. He's my Superman (minus the tights!). He is always there for our family and loves Mom with all his heart. He has an amazing sense of humor too, just so you know! At least I sure think so. So Summer is nearly half over and it's been pretty wonderful! I am so thankful that I have this incredible family to spend the Summer and all of eternity with.     <3 10e

Starting Out!

ImageHello family and friends! As a part of homeschooling (and just for fun!) I'm going to start contributing to our family blog. I've been wanting to start a blog but didn't know where to begin and my mom suggested I start with this one. What better place to start than with the family?
Like Papa would say, "Life is a joyride!" Short, sweet, and beautiful, we just have to take it in.

Picture Slide Show

Alexa-

I put this video together a while ago and just recently added finishing touches. Turns out, I had a lot of fun making it so I'm planning on making one every few months. I just have to keep up with taking pictures!

Tenney Family Reunion 2010

I must say that one of my very favorite things about the location this year was... COOL WEATHER! Well that and the spectacular landscape... basically I heart Vail!
Tennis, hiking, shopping, visiting, how fun to spend time with some of our very favorite people!

Sporty Spice

Our little Lexi Loo had lots and lots and lots to do...
Soccer, & track, & volleyball too,
Mom was sure glad when it was all through!

Even More Spring Fun! aka Visitors Galore!

How lucky were we to have a parade of visitors this Spring!

Erica and baby Dash came to see us. He was a big hit with everyone, I just wish I had grabbed the picture in time to get Liv pushing him around in her toy shopping cart! Pretty much the sweetest roundest cheeks we've ever seen!

Mom and Grandma Mikkelsen, aka Nana and Gigi were next to arrive! We had fun visiting, eating and visiting some more!

Dad came out next, ready to tackle a project! Luckily I found some cabinets perfect for the garage the week before he got here! Just in time!

My favorite college roommate made a quick stop in town and we had a great time catching up, getting to know her darling kids and fun husband! I think he needs to have business trips to Dallas all the time!

Heather and Zack finished off the stretch of visits with a whirlwind visit and ebay-bonanza!

Spring Fun

Even more snow during Spring Break was a great kick off to Spring 2010...
Andrew worked hard to finish his Webelos, and his Arrow of Light- I had fun working with him on lots of projects, including a homemade compost bin (below) which he took a plastic trashcan and drilled out holes for ventilation; he build raised garden beds, learned how to use tools, fix stuff and even mow the lawn! that's my kind of scouting!!!
Image We made a little addition to our homestead- six cute little fluffy chicks! 3 yellow fluff balls and 3 black fluff balls. Hooray for the local Tractor Supply Company...
Image Their names are Sparta, Sonic, Happy, Shadow, Soup and below, Emmett is holding Redface. (My favorite!)
Image Another highlight for Emmett was his first experience in organized sports!
Image the best thing about little league baseball??? I would say the cuteness in their uniforms!!!
