Thankful Thursday
If it is Thursday, it is time to share some thankfuls from this past week. I have a very long list this week.
I am thankful I agreed to have Lisbeth’s wounds cultured. She has both anaerobic and aerobic bacterial infections. The convenia injection she got last week will take care of one, and she has started on clavamox for the other. Overall, her face seems to be healing well.

I am grateful Tali had her spay surgery and got microchipped yesterday. Two less things to worry about. And we are starting her on amitriptyline for her obsessive suckling on me. None of the other myriad solutions I have tried have worked. A little POTP that this one will do the trick would be appreciated.

On Saturday morning at 3:15 a.m., I got one of the best gifts when Dad Tom woke me up with the words, “Happy Birthday, he’s home!” Yes, my birthday was Saturday, and the him he was referring to was Raleigh. It was his fourth time sneaking out, and remained outside for only 1 1/2 days. Usually he shows himself to me occasionally while he is out, but he didn’t this time. The previous night when I went to see if he had returned, there was a raccoon nomming under the bird feeder and a tiny baby raccoon on the part of the deck not available to the kitties. I knew I wouldn’t see him that night!
The daffodils, hyacinths, forsythia and many of the fruit trees, especially the pears, are blooming. I am not only thankful but delighted to see this. And it appears the squirrels left most of my bulbs alone … probably because they were buried under impenetrable ice.
Today, I have an appointment with my orthopedic surgeon to talk about my newest new knee. As the weather has warmed up some, it is not quite as painful and is working a bit better, but I am still trying to recover from the fall on October 30.
I am thankful to everyone who left birthday wishes for me on our Caturday post. I did not mention it was my birthday, but Sharon (Friends Furever) had it on her post. Also, I am thankful for the cards I received in the mail as well as gifts and dinner out with by longtime friend, Tammy. And, I am super thankful for the beautiful flowers from Teddy’s mom Pam (Two Spoiled Cats). I am truly blessed.

Finally, Kitties Blue and I are thankful for those of you who visit the blog and comment and for those who join the Sunday Selfies blog hop.
We will be participating in the Thankful Thursday blog hop hosted by Angel Brian. If you would like to do the same, please click on the Thankful badge.

Thoroughly Poetic Thursday
Thursday, also is the day of the week when I like to join Angel Sammy and Teddy from Two Spoiled Cats by writing some poetry. They provide an inspiration photo, and those who participate in the challenge write a poem based on it.
Here’s this week’s fun photo.

Here is my very short poem to accompany it.
All Mine?
Is this all for me,
or do I have to share?
I think I can eat it all,
but I guess it would be fair
to give you just one bite!

Angel Sammy is the official poet at Two Spoiled Cats. Every Thursday, he transmits his poem from the Rainbow Bridge to brother Teddy for publication. Angel Sammy is an excellent poet, and we always recommend you read his poem. You can find it over at Two Spoiled Cats by clicking on the poetry badge. While visiting, check out the inspiration photo for next week and join us in writing some poetry. It’s fun!
