As is the usual case with drugstore makeup, you are able to get a cheaper price during sales or by using coupons - Buy One Get One Half Off, $5 off your purchase of $15, $3.50 off your purchase of $10, etc.

Also, depending on the store, you may be able to find it cheaper than the recommended Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP).

The Maybelline Color Sensational® Vivids Lipcolors are available for purchase at Ulta stores and the Ulta website as well as on the Maybelline website. They are also available at various drugstore locations and wherever Maybelline products are sold such as Harmons, Walmart and Target.

The Maybelline Color Sensational® Vivids Lipcolors come in square-base silver lipstick tubes with neon orange/pink semi-transparent caps.

The labels on the bottom of the lipstick tubes are color-coordinated to the actual lipstick shade and indicate the shade/color name and number along with the company details.

The lipstick caps are held in place by integral tabs that keep the caps secure and prevents the caps from simply popping off at inopportune times and damaging your product (or heaven forbid your purse!).

There are 10 permanent and 4 Limited Edition shades available in bold, bright, fun colors. There are no neutrals or nude shades here - just fun spring/summer colors! The Limited Edition shades are very similar to the existing range so no fuss if you miss out on them.

TEXTURE & FINISH

The Maybelline Color Sensational® Vivids Lipcolors have a creamy texture and glide on smoothly onto the lips without dragging or tugging. They have a soft, slightly slippery feel similar to a liquid lipstick - like a cross between a lipgloss and a lipstick.

Once they are applied they give semi-glossy shiny wet finish that only dulls down very slightly throughout wear. There are no glitter or shimmery particles in these lipcolors - the only shine comes from the glossy finish.

PIGMENTATION
The Maybelline Color Sensational® Vivids Lipcolors vary in pigmentation and color payoff. Only a couple of these shades have issues with full color payoff in one swipe - Brazen Berry and Neon Red. However, all shades can be built up in layers for full color impact.

APPLICATION & WEAR
The Maybelline Color Sensational® Vivids Lipcolors apply smoothly and effortlessly on the lips without any tugging on the lips. However, as with most lipcolors, these lipsticks will cling to dry, chapped or flaky skin on the lips. It's best to exfoliate and keep your lips hydrated for any lipcolor.

You can apply these directly from the tube or with a lip-brush for more precision. I had no issues with the colors bleeding and seeping in lines around my lips. But since these are such bold colors you will need to be careful with color going outside the lines of your lips.

Although I wouldn't say these lipsticks are moisturizing, I did not experience any drying of my lips from wearing these lipsticks. They stay creamy during wear and leave my lips feeling comfortable - there is no tightening effect.

The wear time will vary per shade but I experienced a minimum of 5+ hours of wear without touching up. One thing I must warn about is the stain that is left behind after most of these shades. Although the stain is pretty, it can be a pain to remove and lingers into the next day.

The Maybelline Color Sensational® Vivids Lipcolors are great lipsticks and at a fantastic price! They are soft and creamy with bold color impact. They also wear really well throughout the day! Only drawbacks are that they need some layering to get full impact color from some shades and you will be left with a lingering stain that may stick around for at least a day.
