There is so much power in what we say because our words guide where our thoughts go
Jesus, help me to center my thoughts on your Word today so they rest on your goodness and mercy
Like a bird that flies out in the morning, help me carry your goodness wherever I go
Let me tuck this wisdom away, to use another day
And when I come back in, help me to feather my nest with Your peace and comfort–Jesus, be all around me keeping me safe and warm
In the night as I prepare for sleep, I’ll think back over the day and how You were with me the whole time, Lord
Let me tuck this wisdom away, to use another day
Even when I call out to Jesus, not knowing what to say, the Holy Spirit living within me signals that at this time, it’s o.k. to walk away–I’ll sort it out with the other party later–taking a hiatus from speaking on the topic right now is for the better
Lord, you’ll meet me with words of wisdom and grace, for my knowledge and the benefit to myself and the other person
Let me tuck this wisdom away, to use another day
For there is great power in the tongue–that’s where influences and actions spring from
Jesus, by your wisdom and grace, I submit my thoughts and words to you
Wash and filter them with your love and truth until your glory shines through
Let Your pearls of wisdom be my most prized possession that I wear for the rest of my days
Let me tuck this wisdom away, to use another day
²⁰ Wise words satisfy like a good meal;
the right words bring satisfaction.
²¹ The tongue can bring death or life;
those who love to talk will reap the consequences
