A woman bleeds from unsheathed steel,
Gathered in a ribbed spread!
Her tongue against my shaft ..

Opening (chapbook, 2026)

Embracing paragraphs without indents is a bold move when considering the history of glass. Like a block print set against white papaya, the reference to a short story taught in 9th grade in English class at Waite High School is simply the recognition that even birds eat the fruit that bears find (un)resistable…
Song: V.A.N., by Bad Omens and Poppy….
Questioning the source

Poetry becomes set.in heartbreak,
Knowing arms without a face,
Betrayed by my longing,
Or simply my lust?
The right of a lie..
Wish You Were Here (compact disc, 1992)

Wish You Here is quite possible the most moving Pink Floyd album in my heart, though their first album with Sydney Barret warms me to a style of psychedelic rock that went beyond the more surface level scratches instrumentalist Paul McCartney was making with his own quasi-concept album Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Heart Club Band.
The band is more reflective over their downfallen lead guitarist in what is what I would consider more blues inspired rock than actual progressive music, though their reliance on a saxophone inspires one to listen to the album Moondance by musician Van Morrison, as Frank Zappa’s and Miles Davis’s jazz fusion slowly became a more alternative approach to segregated music.
Pink Floyd may seem pompous in their approach to cinematic storytelling through an auditorial format, but their hearts remain firmly planted with a composer’s sensibility, allowing a more improvised release of artistic expression to be sifted through what are basic guitar chord progressions and simplified time signatures….
Joseph became honest

Joseph became honest
Locked in a rainbow coat,
His pride for all to see,
WE humble before we fall,
Falling for humanity–
Sometimes we cry,
now charged with a rape,
belittled like paul,
accosted and chained.
dreams we interpret,
wrath we inspire,
a pharaoh asks for source,
to which we take all.
now back in the dungeon,
chained to a wall.
two dreams are revealed,
and Yahweh speaks with a command.
I am the source of your knowledge,
to me you will give credit.
A pharaoh repeats a question,
and Joseph is repented…
