Challenge #195

 Hello all friends of Time Out!

We are back with another fun challenge for you and today it's one of our popular theme challenges: we want to encourage you to use a colored card base or colored card front. For the next fortnight it's time to abandon your basic white card and play with something more colorful! :) 

As always our theme has an optional twist and this time it's 'add embellishments'. If you decide to use the twist you could win a prize from our fabulous sponsor Newton's Nook: they are offering a $25 gift voucher to one of our "twisters", chosen randomly. The overall winner of the challenge, chosen by our DT, will be called to guest design in a future challenge. 

Our guest designer for this challenge is Toni Maddox of Frankie Helps Craft. Toni is a wonderful paper crafter with an eclectic style and a great eye for color and design. Toni was the winner of Tme Out Challenge #192.

Here are a few words from Toni:

"My name is Toni and I live in the Pacific Northwest just a few miles north of Seattle where I work at the University of Washington supporting infectious disease research. I enjoy spending time with family (including my cats), reading, gardening, and, of course, paper crafting."

Challenge #194 - Running Stitch Design

    Welcome back for another challenge!

We have a very special challenge for you today. We are creating cards inspired by this photo:

Here is some information from Kim about the inspiration bag - The inspiration for this challenge is a handmade tote bag using fabric from Cotton and Steel-Girls Club. I made the tote using a NoodleHead pattern, the Crescent Tote. The tote is fully lined and It has a zipper pocket on front, inside pockets and webbing for the handles.  Tote measures 16.5x10.5x6

Our guest designer for this challenge is Nathalie. You can find her on Instagram as wonderingwabbit. 

Nathalie has always enjoyed being creative. When she was younger, she always loved drawing and painting. As she matured and became a student, then career woman, got married, had kids, pets, etc., she could never find any time to express herself creatively. As her children grew a little older, she decided to just make time! She really wanted to bring some Zen into her hectic life. In doing this, Nathalie did not want to commit to large projects, so she figured, why not cards? Searching for supplies online was a bit overwhelming, but she started to try different brands and products to see what she liked. Turns out she simply adores her pencils 😍. Take a look at her work! Nathalie has mad coloring skills!!! Nathalie says that she thoroughly enjoys Timeout Challenges because they are always different and allow a lot of room for interpretation without too much restriction. Here is her wonderful make for our challenge:
