Christmas!

Christmas was of course a blast! I set my alarm for 5:30 - I know what you all are thinking.... are you INSANE??!?! Well I might be but since my kids left at noon I wanted to make sure that nothing felt rushed. I wanted them to open their presents & be able to play & enjoy before they had to go. Addi got everything she wanted & a lot more - Kambri was done opening presents after the 2nd one. :) Addi's favorite present so far has been her Baby Alive... she named her Caroline & wants to feed her 24/7 - if you don't know what a Baby Alive is - let me tell you. This baby pees for real - they do have ones that pee & poop but Santa didn't think pooping was appropriate sooooooo.... she just got the one that pees. :) Anyways she is very sweet with her baby & she goes every where with her - we bought her a package of diapers & she stacks & re-stacks them constantly - she has become quite the organizer... and I have no idea where she gets it from! :)

Kambri hasn't been home a lot to play with her toys yet so I'm not sure which one is her favorite but my mom got her this really cute Ladybug toy that has different shapes that play different songs (see below.. I'm a bad descriptionist!) that all of the kids LOVE to play with. :) EVERYTHING Kambri got for Christmas makes A LOT of noise.... didn't realize this until after the fact but it's true nothing is quiet at all!

Addi also got a Nintendo DS - we are going to be traveling quite a bit this coming year & I think it will be extremely helpful (if not my sanity would be questionable...) & good entertainment for all on the trip.

I hope everyone had an awesome holiday - we miss you Candyce, Sam, Jakayla & Jadyn can't wait to see you in June!!!

Christmas Eve

Since my kids had to leave early on Christmas day to go be with their other families we decided to take the kids down to Gramma Jeri's so Addi, Kambri, Justin & Kaylee could open presents together. They opened the presents they gave each other & the presents Gramma & Grandpa gave them. :) They had so much fun doing "Christmas" before Christmas & I'm glad they were able to spend the time together! Gramma Jeri has been down due to a recent surgery & I know it was very special to her to have the kids open presents with her! All of the kids were spoiled of course & so were the adults.

After they got done opening presents the kids made cookies for Santa - they were absolutely delicious!! :)

Last Christmas Performance!

Addi had her last Christmas performance the Monday before Christmas. She did so awesome (as I always say... but hey I might be bias!!) She sang: All I Want for Christmas is My 2 Front Teeth, I Want A Hippopotamus for Christmas, A Gift for Santa Clause & Jingle Bells. She has loved her singing group so much, I was so blessed to have found them - they are so involved in the community & they just love children.

A special thanks to Matt & Shari for taking the time to come - it is so great to have such good family to help support me & my kids! Also, thanks to my wonderful parents for loving my kids unconditionally & always being there for us! :) Also, I know she can't read this but I'd like to thank Addi's Gramma Lynn & Great-Gramma Diane for being there it means a lot to her to have all of the people she loves there for something so special to her. :)

9 Months

Time really does go so much faster when you have kids! :) My little Kambri is 9 months old now.... can you believe it!?!?! She is still not crawling.... but always fakes us out - she gets in the position but instead of moving she just stretches..... and let me tell you she is like Gumby she can stretch every which way! I took her to the Dr for her well check and these were her stats:

20.10 lbs.

30 Inches

She is so tall! She is in the 99.9% for her height and in the upper 80's for her weight. It's crazy how fast she is growing - she is not a very chubby baby but she has very long legs so she is in the 12-18 month pants already.

She can say a few words now "Hi" & "Papa" are most common - I did get her to say Mama once but it has not been a reoccuring thing. She loves to clap & she has found her giggle - but typically the only person that makes her laugh is herself.... and let me tell you she cracks herself up!

Weird to think in less than 3 months she'll be 1!!!

What a Week!

Well this last week was crazy, insane for me!! This was how it went.....

Monday:

9 AM - Take Addi to school

11:30 AM - Pick Addi up from school

5:00 - Get Addi ready for clogging recital at 6 PM in Parowan - this includes hair, make up & costume. (Still no sign of her fuschia sequin cover-up!) Have to leave the house by 5:20 to get good seats.

5:30 - Just leaving the house driving super fast just to make it to Parowan by 6. :) OOPPPSSSS

6:00 - Recital starts... we get her sat down with the other cloggers so they can watch the dancers perform at the beginning - I made sure she was sitting with people I knew - We find seats on the end so I can record the performance.

6:20 - Kambri is D-O-N-E .... Addi has yet to perform

6:40 - Kambri is past done & is just a ginormous handful..... Addi's group gets on stage - I jump up to film.... don't worry Addi is not with them. :) - I momentarily start to freak.... then someone hands her up to the teacher & she gets in place. :) Woohooo we made it!!

Tuesday:

Pretty boring day - Addi has dance at 6:30 that's all :)

Wednesday:

9:00 - Drop Addi off at school

11:30 - Pick up Addi from school (Her teacher asks if she wants to be student of the day on Friday. Student of the day consists of bringing a snack for the whole class, bringing your favorite book to read & a show & tell item. Addi loves this & thank heavens I was well prepared on the snack part!)

Addi typically has clogging at 2:15.... but in a large mass of confusion I thought she had a dance rehearsal at 3 PM - so decided instead not to take her to clogging just to have to be back by 3 (she would get a total of 25 minutes of clogging time in).

3 - Take Addi to CHS in her normal dance outfit - Heather stops me & says WOW you're really early. She doesn't need to be here until 5:30. Didn't you get the e-mails? .... Uhhhhh what e-mails? ha ha ha apparently whatever e-mail I gave them either never ended up on the list or is not working with their server so I have not been receiving ANY e-mails since Addi started dancing in June. WTG me! :)

3:20 - I call mom & say hey do you want to go to IFA real quick while we are in town?

5:30 - Go back to CHS - put Addi in costume since a lot of the other girls that I saw were in costume.... don't worry she was the ONLY one in costume. HA HA apparently in the e-mail it said PreK class does not need to dress up. Also, forgot her shoes - mom took my truck with the bag in it - so I call her up & say "Hey I forgot her bag... bring it back so I can get her shoes." Mom comes back & I take them in to her.... and..... she didn't need her shoes. LOL I was so happy by the time I got home to just be DONE!!

Thursday:

Addi usually has singing from 4 - 5 on Thursdays but since her dance recital started at 6.... we had to be there at 5:45 & I actually wanted to be there at 5:15 to get good seats because there are SO many students... I let her skip. Don't worry all of this skipping was weighing HEAVILY on my brain - I always felt like I should've been somewhere else! So anyways I couldn't get her ready in time after singing so we just nixed it.

3:00 - I stop next door & ask Sienna if she will babysit Kambri because I didn't want to sit through another performance with her grumpy butt. :) She did bless her soul!

5:15 - We head to CHS to get seats... I forgot a couple of roses so I sent mom off to the store while I got seats & what not. I was able to get really good seats & Addi did SO amazing! :) If you haven't seen the videos yet go on facebook... they are darling!

Friday:

9 AM - Take Addi to school with her bag heaping full of treats for her class & a VERY heavy backpack!

11:30 - Pick up Addi from school

Saturday:

8:00 - Woke up 2 hours late... sorry mom!!!

9:30 - Went to St George to help clean Gramma's house while she's down & out - love you gramma!!!

1:30 - Finished last minute Christmas shopping - I went into Target to see if I could find some cute stocking stuffers for Addi.... yes she was with me but it was ok she slept the ENTIRE time - Ha ha we had so much stuff piled on top of her you probably couldn't even tell there was a kid in the bottom of the cart. :)

5:15 - Rushed home to get pies to take to our Ward Christmas party

6:30 - We get to the Ward Christmas party.... ALL of the food is gone - I have never seen THAT many people at one ever. ha ha :)

That was my crazy week!! - Tomorrow is going to be Crazy too Addi has her clogging Christmas party at 10 AM, Kambri has a Dr. Appointment at 2 & then Addi has a singing performance at 5:30 - where she will get to see Santa. Then hopefully it will be peace & quiet until the first of the year!! (Yeah right!)

Kaylee's 1st Birthday

Well little Miss Kaylee turned 1 on the 12th! :) It was a lot of fun to go to her birthday party - Shari always does such an amazing job at making sure that her kids are loved & that they know it! :) This was definitely an all girl party - pink princess EVERYTHING ha ha I did the same thing with Addi & probably will for Kambri... I still have a few months to think about that one! There was lots of good food & of course awesome company! Matt surprised Shari and got to come home for the tail end of the party - she of course was SO excited... it was short lived but it was worth it! :) Kaylee was hilarious she would not hold the cupcake..... smash it..... or touch it in any way so she bent over on the table & ate it between her feet.... she's definitely Shari's kid!! HA HA love you Shari!
