Grand Canyon!

Well we FINALLY did it - me & my little family made it to the GRAND CANYON! :) It was absolutely beautiful & I am so glad I got to experience it with my kids. If you haven't been ... GO it's worth the trip - I wish I would've been able to spend more time there than we did though. We only stopped at a couple of look out points - but we went inside the Watch Tower which was awesome! You go up 85 steps & you can see a complete 360 degree view of the Grand Canyon - if you can only make one stop that is the one to make! :) Thanks mom & dad for stopping there for me I really appreciate you both!

Road Trip to Arizona

My cousin Aimee got married this last Monday in Phoenix so we took a LITTLE road trip to go to the wedding. I'm really glad we went but MAN was that a long car ride! :) We left early Sunday morning & picked up Addi from her dad in St George. Then we headed out - We stopped at the Glen Canyon Dam on the way there so Addi could see the awesome bridge, dam & of course Lake Powell! We're going to plan a trip there this summer - I really miss going. After we got done there we headed out and stopped to see my dad's cousin Merill. It was nice to finally "meet" him - I'm sure I've met him before I just never remembered - so it was like meeting him, Renie & their daughter Kodi for the first time. :) They are awesome people & the kids absolutely LOVED their place - lot's of horses, dogs & cats! (Not to mention tons of room to RUN!) We got into Phoenix late Sunday night & went straight to bed. My dad had to pick up a pump while we were down there so Monday morning the guys went one way & we went the other. :) Aimee's wedding was at 4 that afternoon & she looked absolutely STUNNING! It was way good to see all of the family & to see all of Aimee's family together - it doesn't seem like we all get together often enough! After dinner & cake we took the kids back to the Motel room because they were exhausted - Me, Addi & my dad went swimming for a little bit before we headed to bed - Addi was of course in HEAVEN! Tuesday morning we headed back but in a different direction - we drove through the Grand Canyon & it was awesome! That was my first time ever being there so we made some stops - Addi thought it was pretty neat too - I was a little paranoid with her around the edges but all in all it was a great trip!

10 Months!

Ok I'm only a week late :) Kambri is 10 months now & has accomplished some major mile markers in the last week! She is FINALLY crawling.... no not her army crawl she's been doing but ACTUALLY crawling on all 4's. :) She's been teasing us for the last month and 1/2 everyday we were saying "Today is the day! She's going to crawl!" but it never happened. But it's official now - she also can pull herself up on the couch into the standing position - also within the last week or so she conquered that. I think things will be fast moving from now on - she is into EVERYTHING! :) Her favorite word right now is Uh-Oh she says it all the time & for the most part I think she understands what it means. When she drops things she looks at me and says "UH-OH!" she's pretty funny. She loves her grandpa... he walks into the room & the rest of us are non-existent (for both her & him!) - ridiculous! :) It's hard to believe her 1st birthday is in less than 2 months - just seems like yesterday I was watching her roll for the first time! She still only has her 2 bottom teeth - but I believe she is getting more - she is GRUMPY! :)

Southwest Crawlfest

Well we found a new Jeeping club to run around with..... :) they had what they call Southwest Crawlfest over the weekend - it's a lot like Jeep Safari in Moab - you sign up for a trail.... each trail has a leader... you have a set time to leave, etc. It was a lot of fun! There were about 40 rigs on just the trail that we were on - it was a lot of fun having that many people but at the same time it's a pain in the butt! :) You wait hours at an obstacle for everyone to get through instead of just a few minutes & you can't keep track of everybody - I think someone at the end could break down & no one would ever know they were missing. They are fairly new though so I'm sure after a few years of doing it they will be a smooth oiled machine! :)

When we stopped for lunch on the trail a couple of the guys were goofing off driving up this boulder that was in the midst of the Rock Garden - & we were able to see 3 rollovers. :) It was almost like sitting at potato salad hill - ha ha I got 2 of them on video but for some reason one of the videos was deleted - but I posted the other on facebook if you want to check it out!

They had a fun raffle night where they served dinner & raffled off 40K worth of prizes - they were really late starting it so I ended up giving 30 raffle tickets to the guys that were sitting next to us. They had a kids raffle which was pretty awesome, and every kid won something so no one felt left out! Addi won an oversized Tennis Ball :) ha ha out of everything that was there (Monster Trucks, Squirt Guns, Dart Guns, Bikes etc.) that was what she ended up with. LOL All in all it was a good time & I'm glad we went - Thanks Dad!!
