Christmas Eve

This is going to be a non-picture post but it's way too important to me to not make a post about, and I know this is out of order... but that's just me. :)

I was having kind of a rough Christmas Eve - this was the first Christmas Eve in Addi's life I haven't been with her... and it was a little harder than I expected it to be. Jake & I went to Cedar, had breakfast with his dad then took care of our last minute shopping - mostly for food for Christmas dinner. After we left Lin's I had a small break down and I tell you what Jake is very understanding of my needs when I am an emotional train wreck. He made me smile again and when we got home we put the groceries away and both had naps - I was completely exhausted from lack of sleep over the week the kids were gone. Anyways, that night I had one more break down after someone wasn't being very fair and Jake was there for me again just like he always is. He cheered me back up and he started a fire for me turned off all the lights and held me in front of the fireplace for a minute. Then he said "I think you need to open a present tonight, just to cheer you up!" I was thinking he was crazy since I already knew/had picked out everything that I was getting - so I told him "No, that's ok - I'll be fine." After he insisted he told me to close my eyes so he could get the present.... When I opened my eyes he was down on one knee & he asked me to marry him! I was so excited I said yes of course... like he expected any other answer! :) I was so honored that he gave me his mom's ring and was really sad when it didn't fit.... so I'm still ringless but it meant a lot to me that he took that extra step - asked my dad and we're going to get married very soon! I am so blessed to have such a wonderful man in my life that cares about me & the girls as much as he does - I couldn't have asked God for a better person to send into my life, because only God knows how much I needed that!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas like I did - I know that my blessings were in abundance this year!

Christmas

Merry Christmas!! :) We were all very spoiled this year and I was so greatful to be able to spend time with our family. We didn't get the girls back until 1 on Christmas day so we didn't start opening presents until about 2 we waited for my Grandma & Grandpa to get there to start and then there was a whirlwind of wrapping paper and toys all over the floor! Kambri got a couple of presents opened and when my mom took her "Pinkie Pie Learns to Walk" out of the box it was all over she didn't want to open any other presents. Addi was thrilled to get her "Our Generation" Sandie doll complete with horse and bed (That she put in her bed so she can sleep with her), she was also excited about her gun and her LalaLoopsy doll. Kambri like I said before absolutely loved her My Little Pony doll that walks and she got a Little Peoples Zoo set that she also plays with a ton. I think the biggest hit was the Cozy Coupe though both of the girls have taken turns driving it around the house since Christmas morning.. sometimes even together. Jake got clothes, tools & a John Wayne picture that he picked out a while ago and just forgotten that he told me how much he liked it. The kids also got a Trampoline from my parents that they haven't used yet but are VERY excited about! :) After all the presents were opened we all sat down and had Christmas dinner - it was delicious! About 95% of the way through my dinner I suddenly felt very sick and not too much later Jake ended up sick as well it was horrible to be sick on Christmas! Especially after so much anticipation for the girls to come home - we think it must've been something we ate because that same night Jake's dad also was sick and we had gone to breakfast at the same place the morning before. Thankfully we were all quick to get over it as it's not fun to take care of kids while you are sick - and Jake had to go back to work. It's been so fun to see the kids love everything they got and it's been so relaxing to not have to run around like crazy people (Like we did the entire month of December). I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas like we did! :)

Rice Krispie Snowmen at Gramma's

Since the girls were gone the week before Christmas the night before they left we crammed everything we could into one night. We went to the mall to see Santa and got the girls pictures taken, Addi of course gave a big cheesy grin and Kambri just had this blank look on her face... we're not really sure what she thought of him! After we saw Santa, my dad & Jake took Kambri for dinner and a stroll around the mall while Addi & I finished up our last minute shopping for her Grandma & Jake. We had so much fun having a little girls time while the guys did their thing. After we went shopping we went to my Grandma's so the kids could make Rice Krispie snowmen with her. They had a blast helping grandma mold the snowmen and put M&M's for eyes & buttons. Then we drove around and looked at Christmas lights until it was late enough that we needed to head home - the girls were passed out by the time we made it to the freeway. Thanks Gramma for the memories & the snowmen! :)

Kaylee's 2nd Birthday

Kaylee turned 2 on Monday and we had her birthday party Wednesday - it was of course a lot of fun! We went to FunTime Inflatables first where the kids ran around like crazy people and bounced on everything in sight. Kambri & Kaylee went down the big slide like 50 times! Then afterwards we went to Matt & Shari's to have Pizza, Cake & Ice Cream - Kaylee got spoiled with Princess stuff & dress up clothes she loved every minute of it! Of course all of the girls there were loving all of her toys and helped her test them out. :) We always have so much fun at the kids' birthday parties thanks Shari for always having us & being such a great party planner!!

Clogging Recital

Ok these pictures are super crappy - my camera is starting to not take good pictures and there was something on the lens... so Justin's face isn't naturally blurry like that don't worry!

Addi had her clogging recital this past Monday and she did very well - although she is a little bored with her class right now she still hangs in there and is getting better. :) My parents, Shari & her kids were able to make it up to watch and I was so excited - clogging is so much fun to watch and really keeps the kids entertained because of all the NOISE!! I'm excited for next year because they will finally move her up because of her age and I am going to sign Addi up for their dance group. They are really good and I think she'll do very well there! (Plus I won't have to drive to Cedar anymore for it!!)

Christmas Dance Recital

Addi had her Dance Recital this past weekend and she did an excellent job. She loves ballet & in my opinion is very good at it! :) She loves her ballet costume this year so much that she wore it 2 hours before her actual recital started. She did Ballet & Cheer in the recital so the pictures at the end are her cheerleading outfit. She is good at cheer as well but was a little worried she didn't know her dance well enough - she pulled it off of course with flying colors. :)
