Father's Day

"It is admirable for a man to take his son fishing, but there is a special place in heaven for the man who takes his daughter shopping."

I love that quote because it honestly fits not only Jake but my dad, Jake is so good about taking the girls everywhere with him no matter where he is going. My dad is the same way, no matter whether it's the part store, the gun store, fishing, hunting, boating, working or just the grocery store. These 2 men in my life never cease to amaze me with the things they do for their family, I am so unbelieveably blessed to have such good examples that make me strive to be a better person.

 Jake - Our girls love spending time with you, no matter where you are or what you're doing. They love going for rides, curling up on the couch watching T.V., going shooting, doing yardwork & most of all playing with you. You have filled a special place in all of our hearts and we honestly couldn't ask for a better dad in our lives! We love you & hope you had a Happy Father's Day!

Dad - All of my life I have done so much with you & it makes me so happy & proud to have you as my dad! I know a lot of people who don't get to spend time with their Father's & I am greatful that I am not one of them. I will never forget growing up with you around and the things we did & still do to this day! Last minute Christmas shopping for mom, Dinner's at Winger's, boating, fishing, camping & especially Jeeping! I love that you spend time with my kids the way you spent time with me - my girls are so lucky to have a grandpa like you that spends all the time he can with them. We love you!

Shooting

Jake had to do some target practice for work last week so we decided to make a trip out of it and take the kids shooting as well. Addi hasn't been able to shoot her gun for a while so it was fun for her to be able to shoot again & of course Kam wanted to join in the fun. She didn't get the concept at first but figured it out towards the end and thought it was pretty cool! I shot Jake's pistol and actually wasn't terrible for not shooting in 6 years!

Addi's Birthday Round #2

We had a double birthday party this year for Addi & Kimber because a lot of family members from out of town were supposed to come. Most of them couldn't make it but it turned out really fun anyways! We went down to St George and had a pool party (of course!) Addi wanted a Justin Bieber themed birthday party, but that really wasn't appropriate for a 6 & a 1 year old birthday party so I compromied and got her a Justin Bieber cake! It turned out really cute and she absolutely LOVED it, she screamed when she saw it & of course pretended like she fainted because he is sooooo dreamy. ;) After lunch we opened presents (yep she was spoiled!) and then we had cake while Kimber smashed hers and then went swimming. Parties at Gramma Jeri's are always the best, thanks Gramma for letting us invade your house we love you!!

Summer Fun

We have definitely been having a lot of fun with water play over the past few weeks! The girls (and the dog) have been playing in the sprinklers, on the Slip N' Slide and they got a fun new toy for Addi's birthday that is a waterpillar (It's a caterpillar that has crazy arms that water squirts out of) You can definitely tell that Summer is here!

Addi's Birthday - Round # 1

Addi had such a fun birthday this year - I let her open 3 of her presents on her birthday then she had to save the rest for her birthday party. :) She of course wanted to open the biggest one which was a Razor motorized scooter. She LOVES this and has been on it a ton since she got it, you have to get the scooter going to 3 MPH before the motor will kick on (which is good because Kam can't start it...) and all of the kids have been taking turns riding it around the block. She also got a Tinkerbell art kit, a tiger puzzle and sidewalk chalk! My parents came over and we had a family dinner at Addi's request, Spaghetti, Alfredo, Garlic Bread and of course Ice Cream Cake!

6 is Spectacular

Well it's that time of year again - my baby is 6 years old! The time has seriously flown by & I cannot believe how much she has grown. She has finished up her Ballet, Cheer, Clogging, T-Ball season & Kindergarten for the summer. She is starting a Tumbling/Technique class & a summer clogging class in a week and of course summer swimming lessons! She is very excited to start soccer in August & of course 1st grade! She has been looking forward to being an "all day" kid, eating lunch at school and she wants to start riding the bus again. (Makes her feel more... Independent)

She loves playing outside with her dog Balto, her sister & all of her friends. She is excited to spend the summer with her cousins & of course Grandma & Grandpa. I can usually always find her outside - running through the sprinklers, playing on the trampoline or catching grasshoppers near the creek.

Addi - These last 6 years have been the best years of my life, I cannot imagine life without you and honestly I don't remember life before you. You are one of my very best friends and I am so glad that you picked me to be your mommy. You're such an amazing daughter, sister, grand-daughter & friend - no one could ask for a better one! I love your kind-heartedness, your ability to make friends wherever you go, your love for everyone no matter who they are, your wit, your smile, your bravery, your charm, your independence & most of all your love for me! :) I consider myself very lucky to have you and be able to watch you grow you mean the world to me and to everyone in our family. We love you sis!
