Thank you Great Grandma Johnston

This week we received in the mail a blanket that Kaeden's Great Grandma Johnston made for him. It is super cute and it must have been a lot of work to make. All of the little feet that are on the fabric have been tied with yarn in a matching color. We just wanted to let her know that we love it and we love her.

Christmas!!

So, we had a really good Christmas this year. It was so much fun watching Avery opening his gifts. Last year he was more interested in the tissue paper than the gifts, but this year his reactions were great as he opened all of his gifts. We spent the morning together at our house opening all of the gifts and then went to Todd's parents house to spend time with the rest of the family. Overall it was a great day!! Here are a couple of pictures from the morning.

Christmas PJ's

Todd and I talked and we decided that we wanted to start a tradition of new pajamas for Christmas Eve. Let me just tell you what a pain it was to find matching pajamas for the two of them!!! I finally decided that we would just get some pajamas that were a little big on Kaeden so that they would match. Here is a picture of the boys.

Winter Visits

Alex and her boyfriend Nick came to visit us from BYU Idaho the week before Christmas. It seems that the snow followed them down here. We had a great time with them. It was fun to spend some time with Alex and to get to meet Nick. Here are some pictures of the fun we had in the snow.Image

Santa Claus

We had our ward Christmas party a couple of weeks ago and Avery and Kaeden got to meet Santa for the first time. Kaeden didn't seem to mind, but Avery didn't want anything to do with him.

Daddy Surfing

Image The other night Todd's back was hurting so he was laying on the floor to stretch it out. Avery took the opportunity to do a little Daddy surfing.

He looks so pleased with himself when he is finally able to get his balance standing on Todd. It was pretty funny to watch

Blanket

So, I finally made a blanket for Kaeden, I have been saying for months that I wanted to do it, but just haven't had the money or the time. We went to JoAnn's fabrics on the saturday after Thanksgiving and were able to get the fabric for 2.99 a yard!! So this blanket cost me $8 to make!! Sweet!! I made it a little bit smaller than I did for Avery's so that it will actually fit in his crib and we can take it out with us if it is cold. Yay for being creative!! lol

Time Flies!!

I can't believe how fast time has gone lately!! My goodness. Things are going really well for us. Todd is enjoying his new job, and they have actually offered me a position to work parttime for them which I am really excited about. I haven't started yet, but hopefully soon we can get things rolling. Among other news, we are starting to potty train Avery. He kind of forced the issue when he peed on me three times in one diaper changing and laughed histarically (sp?) about it. He did really well the first two days, he would go in the potty when I took him in there, but it has kind of dwindled the past couple of days. I figure at least we can start getting him used to the idea so that he isn't in diapers until he is 5. Hee hee. Anyway, lots of other stuff to tell, but I have pictures to show also, so there will be many more posts. Love you all.
