In the Borobudur and Yogyakarta areas, stand many of Indonesia’s largest and most magnificent man-made masterpieces. Several national parks in Java Island not only boasting stunning landscapes, but also a strong commitment to conservation. Baluran National Park boasts the sprawling savanna, home for endemic animals that survive in two contrasting seasons. Alas Purwo National Park, boasts the last remaining tropical rainforest on the western tip of Java.
