Just another stream of luck…
February 12, 2009 at 2:21 am | Posted in Day to Day | 1 CommentIt was a wonderful day when i went out with Dr. Tan (Note: he/she might not be who you think he/she is). We went to buy ticket to the movies n then landed ourselves on an extra 30 minutes of random wandering around the Curve. It was then, Destiny had us go to this wonderful electronic shops (well, they sell computer stuff -.-). My interest landed on webcams since I needed one. So, there was this one cute-looking webcam and I enthusiastically take a closer look at it. The webcam took a form of a blue human-like figure. It was rather different from the webcams I saw before. Right next to it, the webcam looked like a laser defense towers one might see in stratery games. But this isn’t what this post is about. At that exact point where we stood, suddenly out of nowhere, water started to fall like a drizzling rain. Dr. Tan took a quick reaction and moved out of the way. Man, what a reflex! I only moved about 2sec later! Hahahah. It was water dripping out of nowhere from the ceiling like a mini-waterfall (when it got heavier). All the workers were shocked and moved everything that was there away. The water wasn’t even clean. Luckily, it was drizzling at first. Can you just imagine if the whole water suddenlly came down all in one go??? I guess it’s just pure bad luck for us to actually stand there T_T. Dr. Tan concluded that I brought bad luck since I was the one looking at the webcams or time for me to own a webcam hasn’t come…yet.
Sudoku! Sudoku!
February 1, 2009 at 5:29 pm | Posted in Day to Day | Leave a commentIt was not long ago when I bought this sudoku book off a megazine store for RM 7.90. I thought it would be nice to actually buy something for me to work on throughout the holidays. Well, actually I bought it because its price. Man, can you believe the cost of sudoku books these days?! Anyways, as time goes by, the book turns out to be quite useful when you have nothing to do. When you’re waiting for the washing machine to finish with my clothes. When you’re waiting for your friends or waiting for something. But nowadays, I realised that as I got nearer to the end of the book, it gets harder. Harder. Waaaaaay Harder. I found my mind so endulge into this thing that I tend to go crazy as I couldn’t find anything to write after 10 minutes. Sometimes 20 or even 30! I even found out that one can get too deep into it. Once upon a time, someone (who was suppose to be my guide) had trouble guiding me when his/her mind was well-ingulfed on the first sight of the puzzle like a ghost sucking the soul out of him/her. Man, this thing can be dangerous! Hahaha…Oh well, like they always say, ‘you should finish what you’ve started’. I guess I’ll just have to finish it or just lose my mind with it.
My daughter’s all grown up T_T
February 1, 2009 at 1:04 pm | Posted in The Family | 2 CommentsWell, after the child custody thing, my daughter is about to be taken away by my ex-wife. To Australia. It wasn’t something I couldn’t miss for the world! So yeah, we went to the airport to send her off. Before she went off, she thanked me for being a good dad (though I wondered if I was when I looked back). Oh, how proud I am to actually realise how much my daughter had grown up! She then said how much she misses her mother, which then I told her how her dad miss her too. It’ll be long when I’ll see her again but hey, she’s in the hands of her mother, my ex-wife. That, I tell you, means she’s in good hands. ;P
Proved Equation: Full Bladder = Tension
February 1, 2009 at 12:55 pm | Posted in Day to Day | Leave a comment“It’s landing! An airplane’s landing”, a friend of mine said enthusiastically like a child. Her interest for airplanes really amazes me.The way she identifies the plane based on looking at them down in KLIA. Another joined in and it turned into more of a discussion as their likings were compared. They discussed everything they saw: labels on the plane indicating what flight they belong to, special features of each aircraft, vehicles that passed by and even lights. Lights? Well, one of them adored the lights. It was then, I realised the lights were beautiful, although she commented them in a very very very weird way. (I couldn’t be bothered looking at other things, because I wasn’t able to see them clearly >_<“).
But this isn’t what I wanted to talk about in this post. Instead, it was the most interesting part of the day. The journey to the KLIA itself. It was, how should I say, tense and I should’ve sworn someone could have died that day. Hahaha.
You know how people tend to change when something happens to them? Well, what if they’re holding a full bladder? I used to have this idea, whereby, if a family member of mine is holding one, the world shall end. Same concept applies to the journey. A car with two passengers and a driver; two of which, are having this what we shall call ‘urgency’. One of them was me but the urgency sensation spiked up near the end of the journey ( I guess its was due to all the tension). So ya ignore me.
Anyway, about the passenger with the urgency, she had been holding it since the beginning of the journey to KLIA. At first, she insisted that she can hold it in till we arrive at the airport. I guess she doesn’t like public toilets, especially the ones at the gas stations. Well, I do agree they weren’t exactly of the clean type. Hahaha. Tension built up near to the end of the journey when we nearly reach the parking. Hell yeah, I thought my life was about to be exchanged by a full bladder! Funny it may sound, but you should’ve been there hahahah. I had to find parking as soon as possible and we actually fought for parking. Yes, we booked one when suddenly a car appear out of nowhere decides to book it too. The passengers however, quickly brainwashed me and turned me into a Malaysian by saying that the car was in the wrong way and therefore, it’s MY parking. Another car wanted the parking also as the fella didn’t see me. We start discussing what if the parking was taken by someone else. Conclusion was, the full-bladder girl would kill anyone who defies such law in that location and place. Hahahahahah…
Moral of the story: Don’t drink and drive! Relation to Post: None 😀
Child Custody…
January 24, 2009 at 5:53 pm | Posted in The Family | Leave a commentWhen parents divorced, most probably they’d have to go to court and talk about child custody. Well, so did me and my ex-wife as we’ll be separating our ways now. But anyway, let’s just skip the processes and everything (not that complicating actually, I just know how to say ‘yes’ to her words) and got to the results. My ex-wife gets a legal custody on my only sweet, innocent daughter whilst I get a legal custody on my lame son. So now, as expected she gets to go overseas with my daughter whilst I get to stay put, with my only son. My god, the world sure is very fair.
Can’t help but falling emo…
January 24, 2009 at 5:43 pm | Posted in Day to Day | Leave a commentIt’s quite upsetting that we have completed our first 2.5yrs of our long course and now some of us, well more than half of us, are expelled to the overseas. Don’t worry, Overseas Restaurant branches won’t be full. I couldn’t help but to think bout this. Well, i kinda revived but i read someone’s blog just now bout emo-ing. So lemme tell u wat went through my mind.
First, it’s da word itself. Forgive my lameness, but i just can’t help it. Is ’emo-ing’ a word? Well, let’s just assume that the word ’emo’ means ’emotion’ which makes it ’emotioning’. Since my english isn’t that good, I guess it’s just a purely advanced english.
Then comes in the serious stuff. (I’ll do everything in chronological order). I remembered Myanmar who just disappeared without me attending the ‘sending off’ ceremony at this building called the airport. Although I didn’t get to know her much earlier during the 2.5 years, but I remembered places that we’d go to and how we’d help each other with different stuff. Knowing that we became closer for many months and suddenly she just disappeared..just like that. Man, i feel bad.
Next is my ex-wife, who left not long ago. I had to fight to attend the sending off part. Even fetched a number of people enthusiastically for her! Even forced my son, although he said, “but I don’t want to…” which later he refuses to continue even after I ask him to. Sadly enough, I kinda had a voice problem during that day and others claimed the reason was too much crying the day before. (owh, those devil-minded people!) Gladly, though, she’s fine now staying with her auntie.
Up comes next is the pink laoban! Why pink laoban? Well, this fella wore pink and wore a white shirt (thought it’s a jacket or something) around her shoulders, which make her look like laoban! Nyahahaha. I knew she’d cry because she said so. So I decided to hold everything back, smile and make her laugh a bit before she went through the immigration. God knows how i really felt that day.
Well, so far, these things came to my mind when i read that blog just now. I know more will have to leave sooner or later. But, I sure hope we’re all prepared for this.
Exam’s over…
January 16, 2009 at 5:22 pm | Posted in Day to Day | Leave a commentIt feels like yesterday when we claim that exam was coming. We gathered in the library till we fibrose ourselves into library furnitures 24-7 for our exams. When holidays come and our habitat were closed down, our gatherings moved to McD. Came early morning and studied till afternoon when suddenly there were rapid contractions of our SCM muscle giving special indications for special activity involving the attack of ‘OUR LAN’ (PS. missing ‘D’ is deliberate). It feels like yesterday.
It feels like yesterday when we entered the exam hall and experienced terror as our lecturers attacked us with bombs, nuclear warheads, jets, infantries and whatnot. MCQ, MEQ, OSPE and OSCE they are called. Reinforcements from the clinical schools came to assist them and gave further destruction of up to 100Mt. Yes, it sounds bad but hey, we survived! And yes, it feels as if it was yesterday.
Everything felt like yesterday…
And today, our results came out and most of our souls are released from continuous torture as the question repeats throughout our mind, “Pass or fail?”. Happy faces shown here and there. Yes, everything was nice till suddenly I realised that one of my comrade in battle is leaving. To think that, a person whom you fought with alongside for years is leaving. I never knew it would be this upsetting. And now, I kinda, wish everything would be back again like it was..yesterday.
Time…
January 16, 2009 at 4:28 pm | Posted in Day to Day | Leave a commentTime. Time is a funny thing. It is. Why? Well, time goes at a varying speed though we know they are at a constant speed. Constant speed? Yes, 1min/min (laaammmeeee). Anyways, what i’m trying to say is that, people admit that time is very fast, so fast that you can’t feel as it goes, but complained that it’s slow, though sometimes indirectly. Still don’t get what I mean? Lemme give you an example.
Years and months have passed since we first started our Medical course down in our university and this happened during our study break for our final exam before going to our clinical years in semester 5. Dr. CCB claimed that, “so fast a, it feels like yesterday wen say “in three months time we’ll have our final exam!” and now we’re almost there!”, but sometime later, he said, “aih, so sien la! Why can’t we have the exam now!”. Yes, as shown, he meant time is fast but complained that time is slow although time is going at a constant speed 1min/min (laammmeeee).
Man, see how funny our claims are?!?! We are human after all. 😛
Stories of the real world…
December 2, 2008 at 3:00 pm | Posted in Day to Day | 1 CommentToday, we had pbl 2 for our second trigger and heard 3 nice stories on food around the world 😀 *sarcastic*, from our faci. So i only listen and tell ya.
First is a story of a restaurant selling pao. What so interesting bout this restaurant is that in order to cut cost (well, everyone wants to make profit), the fillings are partly cardboard. Yes, a cardboard softened down by some sort of chemical. Haha, itadakimasu! 😛 You can check this out here: http://www.slashfood.com/2007/07/12/chinese-food-made-from-cardboard/
Second is also a restaurant selling pao. Man, pao must be one of those easily modifiable food in this world o_O. I couldn’t find a reference site for this but here goes. Apparently, this pao shop is well known in the area. But then, one day, a guy passed away and a funeral was carried out. But for some reason, the relatives needed to open the coffin and then, they found out his buttocks, or gluteus maximus, or ass was gone o_O. Turns out that, the person responsible for the funeral chopped ’em off (don’t know how, and don’t wish to find out how) and send ’em off to the pao shop as the ingredients. Well, that’s sweeney todd movie turning real! hahaha…
Last but not least, tea. Yes, tea. Well, not all tea. Now, see right, some tea are pure tea and that is, according to my faci, (so i think) the leaves only. Now, other parts can still be considered in making tea but the colour won’t be as red as it should be. Solution? Yes, there is one. Some companies tend to use these and add colourings to enhance the colour. And these colourings are carcinogenic. So ya, bye bye Teh Tarik…*sob*
The End
Son’s Second Wife?! O_O
December 2, 2008 at 2:22 pm | Posted in The Family | Leave a commentRecently, it was revealed that my son had a second wife. A girl named XuenXuen. I really doubt his mother knew about this. But second wife?! Who’s the first?!
Investigations shall be held!
