What is Financial Fortune?

What is financial fortune? Financial fortune is when one has a legitimate large amount of money for financial transactions and to bless others. When one has enough money to feed himself and his family alone, that is not financial fortune. The Abrahamic blessings are for blessing others. When you’re blessed and serve as a blessing to others, we can say you have experienced a financial fortune. As genuine believers, salvation connects you and me to the blessings of Abraham. When God was cutting the covenant of prosperity with Abraham, He was cutting it with us. Abraham represented us in the covenant – you were in the picture when the covenant occurred (see Galatians 3:14).

What is Financial Fortune?

Financial fortune means different things to different sets of people. Unbelievers (unregenerated men) see it as having plenty of money, irrespective of its source, to spend on worldly things.

Believers see financial fortune as having more than enough money, with legitimate sources to propagate the gospel of Jesus and help others.

The word financial originates from the word finance, which comes from the Old French word finer, meaning “to pay by way of settlement.” Finer is derived from fin, meaning final agreement.

Fortune originates from the Latin word fortuna, meaning chance, luck, and fate. It is related to the Latin root fors, which also means chance. In English, fortune is mainly referred to as luck, success, prosperity, and possession of material wealth.

Gamblers see financial fortune as financial luck. To them, it’s a game of chance and luck.

Understanding the Secrets of Financial Fortune

Natural men acquire financial fortunes via hard work and illegitimate means. They have to struggle with it. True believers are not achievers but privileged receivers. Natural men believe in acquisition, while supernatural men believe in distribution. The natural law states that a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. On the contrary, the supernatural law states that the more you give, the more you receive.

Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.” – Luke 6:38

Financial luck and wealth accumulation do not connote life success. For example, people who acquire wealth by siphoning public funds into private accounts or stealing at the workplace cannot be regarded as successful. There is more to life than just having big cars and houses. Your worth is not measured by the money you have in the bank but by the impact you’ve made on people’s lives.

Supernatural fortune goes beyond money; it covers all areas of life. It covers access to your health and guarantees a long life.

Natural men who acquire wealth via hard work, fraud, money rituals, and other illegal means are subject to a sorrowful life. Until your blessings come from above, your freedom from sorrow, fear, and affliction is far-fetched. Misers who have a lot of money buried but are suffering satanic oppression of sickness cannot be considered prosperous.

In Proverbs 10:22, “The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.”

So when believers talk about financial fortune, we talk about blessings from above that attach no sorrow with them. That is the only true fortune that is enjoyable. You can be rich and not be blessed. Riches can be in terms of finances alone, but other aspects (health, marriage, children, etc.) are failing. The blessings of God carry along with them long life with a good old age.

What Is the Secret of Supernatural Financial Fortune?

  1. The covenant of seed and harvest time. The covenant of seed and harvest, giving and receiving, is the key to the door of financial fortune that comes from above. The secret is found in Genesis 8:28: While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease. As long as there is sun and moon, day and night in existence, this covenant is valid.

Get it straight: if you aren’t a giver, you can’t prosper. Supernatural financial fortune is not viewed until you plug yourself into the covenant of seedtime and harvest. The scripture cannot be broken means the covenant cannot be broken – not even by God (John 10:35).

The first American billionaire, John D. Rockefeller, was sick at the age of 53; the sickness was so severe that he had to eat soup and crackers on his deathbed. The doctors predicted he would not live another year, and there was news carried out by the media that he had already died because he had many enemies who wanted him dead. A night came when he had a vision as God told him, “All the money in the world will do you no good in heaven or hell. Your job and your responsibility are to give it away to bless others.” The next day, he called his staff together to form the John D. Rockefeller Foundation. Because of his giving, many diseases were wiped out early in that century. He lived to be 98 years old. This illness led to a significant shift in his life, as he realized the futility of wealth and began donating his fortune to charitable causes.

2. Trust and motives. The release of financial fortune is primarily based on trust and motives. First, get your motives right so that God can entrust you with kingdom wealth. If it isn’t in your heart, it can’t be in your hand. God first checks your heart to see if you’ll truly use the wealth for a good cause before He releases the blessings. If you’re a self-centered person who accumulates only, don’t expect supernatural fortune to be released to you. When your passion is to promote God’s kingdom and give to charitable causes, the fortunes will be entrusted to your custody. Life is not about what you take but what you give. It isn’t about your position but your contribution. Possess the right mindset to help others, and financial fortune will be entrusted to you.

How to Sustain Financial Fortune

One thing is to receive financial fortune from God; another thing is to sustain it. Solomon received the fortune but couldn’t sustain it. Continuity is the key to all-around success in this kingdom. The first sure way to sustain the fortune from above is to remember the Lord as the One who gives you the POWER to get wealth (Deuteronomy 8:18). Tithing is an essential part of the terms of the covenant. God plays His part by entrusting you with financial fortune; it’s your turn to play your part.

Bring all the tithes into the storehouse.
That there may be food in My house,
And try Me now in this.
Says the Lord of hosts,
“If I will not open for you the windows of heaven
And pour out for you such blessing
That there will not be room enough to receive it.

Malachi 3:10

God is not in need; He uses your seed to meet your need. I know all the fowls of the mountains, and the wild beasts of the field are mine. If I were hungry, I would not tell thee, for the world is mine, and the fullness thereof. Psalm 50″9-12

When you don’t remember God, you say, “I’ve got this wealth by my own power and hard work – no credit to God.” Nebuchadnezzar took pride in himself; God made him crawl on his hands. Things are tight for those who eat their tithes. Give the glory to God.
