this blog is so funny to me. seriously makes me laugh out loud. this is one of my favorite posts. hahah!
You guys, I have a ton of new clean, sharp, darling design ideas I want to blog bad but first gotta tell you something that broke my dainty heart right in half today! At playgroup today with the ward slash neighborhood {same thing} it was just like usual, us long-haired hotties in one corner, the girls with stacked bobs in the other, divided into teams of salon pedis and DYI pedis as we chatted about our kids while they ran a muck, when out of nowhere I realized the saddest thing. This cute girl in our cultasack who OTHERWISE seems super normal, she has an SUV, professional hubby, Anthro bowls, you know, normal, well guess what I found out about her?
Warning: You'll probably bawl and hold your's a little tighter.
Ready?
She doesn't have a DSLR.
Seriously. Guys, this poor gal is using a point and shoot. In 2010. She deserves a kudo just for getting out of bed in the morning! Maybe I'd get a better calling if people saw that I put together a 5K or something for her?

halloween....
hello. just thought i'd tune in and do a little update.
we got to trick or treat in our new neighborhood!
that was fun! we had intentions of going to a few houses in our old neighborhood,
but the rain just wasn't letting up.
Bronson hand crafted this awesome costume for sam the night before his halloween party at school.
I'm such an awesome mom and was not prepared with a costume plus he kept changing his mind on what he wanted to be... therefore I kept procrastinating it.
The wait was well worth it though! Seriously the best costume ever! Its a good thing we had all those boxes from unpacking. His legs are made out of a crock pot box. ha.
the robot and the toy story alien.
this was a last minute purchase too. like maybe the day of halloween :)
we thought we were going to miss out on the trick or treating.. it was raining. we sat in the front room and watched it for a while.
it let up for a bit so we didn't take any chances.. we got right out there and got to as many houses as we could before we all froze and the rain started again
henry is obsessed with suckers. like alot.
Sam kept shedding parts of his costume through the night. it wasnt the wasnt the easiest costume to walk in. I had to help him up and down the stairs each time. even after he took of the legs.
we had a great low key halloween! And came home with just a little bit of candy which was good!

sticky...
we decided on henrys real bday we should probably do something so we went to pizza factory for dinner.
we though we'd be nice and get sam and henry a sucker for the occasion.

we though we'd be nice and get sam and henry a sucker for the occasion.

henry LOVED it.
loved it so much that we couldnt rip it out of his hands when we got in the car so we let him keep eating it on the way home. bad idea. his entire face was covered in sticky goo. his eyelashes were stuck to his face and it was in his hair and just all over. we'll never do that again. ha.
party continued....
the kids had fun playing with all of henrys new toys. henry is also scared to death of this toy now too if sam or i aren't right by him when the music starts playing. he's so funny.
all the cousins that were there. henry was so lucky to have so many there!
jill, rach, me, erica, and my mom
henrys party in a nutshell. still can't believe he is one.
henry's party
here are just a few pics of henrys party. im not a party throw-er. dont like it. dont like to plan it. but i just have to keep reminding myself of how much i loved the parties my mom would do for me growing up. seriously. i had some good ones. i loved having birthday parties. i have a new found respect for my mom now in the party department. even if i planned this thing the week of. and maybe told most the family a couple days prior. i still did it. that counts, right?
i think these labels are hilarious. bronson is the master mind behind the computer. he came up with these and i loved them. my mom made the tasty chocolate covered popcorn that is way to addicting and packaged them all cute.
this had to be one of the saddest/funniest moments of the night. can you guess who was behind this??? if you guessed sam... you are right. i didn't see it happen.. i just happen to catch these pictures right as henrys head was released from the cake. sam thought it would be funny to slam henrys face into his cake and not let him come up for air for longer than recommended. henry was terrified. he was totally shaking while i was washing him off in the sink. scared the crap out of poor little henry. sam got some room time (time out) after that one. wow.
henry was spoiled with lots of fun new toys. thank goodness for all the cousins who kindly opened all his presents for him :) I think they were more exited than henry.

He's ONE!
Happy Birthday, Henry boy!!
I seriously can't believe this boy is ONE today.
This has been the fastest year of my life!
I can't even express how much I love this kid!
All of a sudden he is seeming like such a big boy.
He is crawling all over the place.... and fast!!!
He is starting to walk. Not full on but he's doing it a little.
The stairs are his favorite.
Anytime he's disappeared. I know right where he is.
Sitting at the top of the stairs inching down towards the next step.
Occasionally he'll turn around to get down,
but most of the time he tries to go forward facing.
We've had more than enough close calls the last few days.
He is impossible at church. I spend 99% of the 3 hours out in the hall.
He still thinks sam is like the greastest thing on earth.
even though sam tortures him to no end. seriously.
i think its cute though. brotherly love :)
He has 6 teeth now.
drinks real milk now. Hooray!
Pretty much done with baby food.
He was never really that into it.
Still takes his binki. Mostly just at night and nap time though
He has a mullet.
He jabbers like crazy.
I think we may have another talker on our hands???
he's still just a little thing.
Hoping that he's at least on the charts for weight and height when I take him to the doc on thursday.
Anyways.... we can't imagine life with out this little dude!
if you're lucky I just may post some pictures of him party from sunday.
Not promising anything though :)

fam pics......
Decided last minute to take some family pictures.
Doing them last minute.... not a good idea.
I hated my outfit, and bronson was wearing the same sweater he wore in our family pictures 2 years ago, and my kids were terrrrrible!
TERRIBLE!
Sam was crazy and all over the place.
And his sweater was about 2 sizes too large.
Henry was onery (not normal for this kid) and wanted to just crawl all over and not sit still for 2 seconds.
However......
I am completely obsessed with this picture of sam.
He pulls the weirdest fake smiles when he is smiling for the camera...
But in this picture. Its real! I love everything about it!
can't wait to blow it up real big.
And Henry...
hahaha.
This picture kills me.
He's getting so old.
And getting his own look.
And all 4 of those top teeth popped out all at the same time.
And after looking through all these pics.
I think its time for a little chop chop of my hair.
wow. its bad.
i need a change.
i want darastic.
but im chicken!
I'm so glad to have some new pictures though! honestly, I don't even care that we probably didn't get even one that we are all looking at the camera. I'm just glad to have them!!
Thanks Erica and Ashley!

Hi.
I am sooo glad summer has decided to stick around for a little longer. It's supposed to be 90 degrees here tomorrow. Hip! Don't get me wrong. I LOVE fall weather. Really really love it. But winter seems to come way to fast once we hit the awesome fall weather. So I will take many more 90 degree weather days! And I love shirtless little kiddies running around outside playing!
When did Henry get so big? He's like almost walking. Whaaat?! And needs a haircut oh so bad. But im not cutting it till he's at least one. Still hoping that it will miraculously turn super curly. ha.

Oh, and wanna hear some super good news? We are moving!
TO OUR OWN HOUSE!
After 7 years of marriage, lots of college, and 2 kids......we are going to be homeowners! And we couldn't be more excited! Well I take that back if this house were in St. George I'm pretty sure I could be a tad bit more excited. BUT....its not. And I'm still super excited. ha! We love the location, our neighbors are nice (the one's we have met) and we love our house.
This picture shows exactly how sams feels about our new house. He has a fit everytime we make our daily (sometimes twice daily ) drive out to the house.
We've got about 3 weeks left and it will be done. It has flown by sooo fast! They started digging the first week of august and today they put in all our cabinets. The only thing left is light fixtures, toilets, and carpet. I think??
Yeah!

16. thinking of doing netflix instant play or something instead. just need to get more info on it.
17. we had our 7th year anniversary last week.
18. celebrated by going to the temple. (it had been way to long)

champ camp...
Sam has been doing "champ camp" the past few weeks. Champ Camp is a Kaysville Recreation program that teaches young kids a variety of sports. He looks forward to every saturday morning when he gets to go! Last week and this week they have been working on baseball. The 2 saturdays before they worked on basket ball. After baseball they will do soccer.
Its so fun to watch him. He gets a little bored occasionally though and wants to "take a break". He is having tons of fun though.

He can swing the bat pretty good.
We could not find his glove so he was free handing it. They practiced grounders....
and catching and throwing.
Bronson is loving it too! And do you love sam's outfit?

spain.....
My mom emailed me this picture today of my dad and brothers walking to church.
She said they are having lots of fun!
I'm so glad that they decided to go!
(they almost didn't)
She said my little brother matt is in heaven.
(this is his mission)
This trip for me is taking forever!
I feel like they've been gone way to long already!
And they still have till Thursday.
Im so anxious for them to get back.
ha.

its been a long time.....
Wow, its been a long time. I just can't quite get the motivation to blog anymore! ahh. I wish I would. I'm so far behind now and it makes me crazy everytime I think about it. So tonight I decided I need to really work hard on my book so I thought I'd post a few pictures from yesterday while im at it.
Yes they are all from the same day. Henry is the messiest eater on the planet so I had to change his clothes. Some day I will learn to just take his clothes completely off before I feed him.
Finally the weather has been good so we've tried to spend time outside. We washed the car and Sam washed his bike.
It's been a while since I've even taken a picture so I made myself take some yesterday. It makes me so happy to see Henry and Sam having fun together even though they are almost 4 years apart. Sam is feeling like he's pretty big these days and thinks he can pick henry up by himself and hold him. He's getting pretty rough with him too. eeeek. He likes to wrestle with him. I have to keep reminding him that he is still a baby and that he has to be careful. ha.
Henry is getting old. How is he 8 months?? He always has to be playing with toys. And sam isn't too fond of henry playing with his toys. I guess that is to be expected when you are an only child for so long, right?
Henry is showing signs of having some curl in his hair. can I tell you how excited that makes me??? If i put gel in it, it kind of curls up in the back. I LOVE it.
the end.

bar 10
We spent 3 1/2 days at the Bar 10 Ranch last week while we were in St. George. Its about 2 1/2 hours off the Arizona Strip. Close to the Grand Canyon.
We had sooo much fun acting like cowboys for those days.
Highlights of the trip include:
*riding horses
*4 wheeling
*having 3 meals a day cooked for us. and it was dang good food!
*playing games at night
*helicopter ride
*hike
*shooting
Those are just some of the main things we did.
We seriously had the best time ever!
And missed seeing shia labeouf by ONE day. We left on Saturday afternoon. He was getting there on Sunday. BOO!
Here are just 2 of my favorite pictures!

Welcome Home Matt!!!
My brother Matt returned home from his mission in Spain.
We are loving every second with him!
I think he is going to adjust back to normal life just fine.
He looks a little bit older and a tad bit thinner,
but it's beginning to feel like he was never even gone.
Welcome Home Matt!!!
to be continued.......(with more pictures)

4 year check
Sam also had he 4 year check the same time as Henry's check.
I was so glad that we had appointments for Monday,
because sam woke up with a rash all over his face and neck,
and a sore throat.
I'm not very good at taking my kids to the doctor right away.
I usually wait a few days to see if things improve,
and then decide.
I probably should be better at that.
Turns out he had strep throat.
He managed to not get strep throat a month or so ago when all of his cousins up here got it,
but he ended up getting it just now. Not sure where he picked it up from.
His check-up went fine.
Here's how it went.
Doc: How are sam's eating habits?
Me: ummm not great. Terrible actually
Doc: Does he watch 2 hours or less of T.V a day?
Me: mmmm no. (eeek)
Doc: Does he sleep through the night?
Me: that would be a no.
FAILED!
Oh my gosh I felt like a failure as a mom after those questions.
Then he asked me about his ABC's and counting and sam starting singing the abc's right then and there. Ok good! Then he started counting 123.......10 and after ten he said eleventeen. ha.
Sam came out quite the opposite as Henry.
He was 55% in weight
and 23 % in height
He has always been on the shorter side.
I think he's always been under the 13th percentile for it.
Sorry sam. You got my short gene I guess.

half a year...
It's really crazy to me that Henry is 6 months old today.
I remember thinking, "wow when Matt comes home Henry will be 6 months old!"
And here we are at 6!
And 3 days until Matt gets home!
I remember thinking, "wow when Matt comes home Henry will be 6 months old!"
And here we are at 6!
And 3 days until Matt gets home!
I took Henry to his well check up today.
And I think I gave birth to one of the Larkin Children. (sisters kids)
He is soo small just like all of them.
I about died when they told me he was in the 5th percentile for weight!
Weighing in at only 14lbs 7oz.
He is in the 34th for height.
and 8th for headsize.
Not gonna lie... I kind of thought he had a really large head.
Guess not.
The doctor gave me some things to try, to try and fatten him up.
We are going to try rice cereal and a fruit in the mornings,
and rice cereal and a vegetable in the evening.
He also told me to pump and see how much It looks like he is actually eating during each feeding.
So I did that tonight. I pumped about the right about that he should be getting.
He drank the bottle like a champ.
I don't think I'll have to be worrying about him not taking a bottle when the time comes.
I have to tell you.... I feel like when it comes to him eating food and all this stuff...
Well anything for that matter....
It's like its my first baby,
like I've never done it before.
I don't remember a thing!
His doctor probably thought I was lame,
because I kept asking questions.
But really. I cannot remember anything.
I was reading in my 2006 blog book last night,
and it said that Sam was crawing.....
at 6 1/2 months!!!!
What!?
Noway!
And it also said that he was saying "mama".
Was I lying?
I can't even imagine Henry saying mama on purpose in a couple weeks.
And.....
Sam was standing up all by himself?
And could do patty cake?
ok, really?
I had to be lying.
But I don't think i was.
It just seems so crazy to me.
Happy 6 months hank the tank!
(who is not a tank at all)

Sara Michele Campbell Baker
This past weekend I went down to St. George to attend my cousin Sara's funeral. It was an emotion couple of days. She passed away a week ago Sunday. Her family has been on my mind constantly. Her husband Brad and their 5 young kids and her Mom and Dad Jane and Roger and siblings Jenny, Mandi, Mike and Chrissy.
I got to spend some time with the Campbell girls + Roger here and there on Friday while I did there hair. We laughed... we cried. We talked about the old days.
My childhood honestly could not have been better. We had the best neighborhood. Sara was a HUGE part of my childhood. My memories from growing up are filled with her in them. The Campbells grew up in the house behind us, the Bently's next door, the pattens down the street, the sevys down the street and around the corner, and the ludlows and Bauers too. Everyone was together constantly. Whether it be doing fashions shows to show of our new school clothes, making music videos, playing nintendo... The entire neighbord was involved.
They were so nice to us young ones. Me, Chrissy, Melissa, Erica, and Jenna. They let us follow them around and be apart of everything.
After the Funeral on Saturday I put in an old home video that mike had brought back to us. It was filled with all of those memories. I'm not sure where the parental figures were that entire video I watched. I actually think my mom might have been sick in bed from being prego with my brother matt. Anyway it was full of sara lip singing to songs on the radio, dancing and just doing what we did back then. There were shots of me and chrissy just following everyone around and loving every minute they let us spend with them.
Now all these years later everyone has kind of gone there separate ways. No one is as close as everyone used to be back in the day. It made me cry to see both my sisters walk up to julie patten and hung and cry as they were thinking of sara.
My sisters both lost it when they walked into the viewing and noticed that the song playing to the video they made of sara was "I'll be loving you" by The New Kids On The block. NKOTB will forever remind me of the campbell clan.
My heart aches for her family. I love the campbell family so much! And I've been praying for her sweet husband and 5 darling kids constantly.
We love and miss you sara!
(isn't she beautiful)

spring has not sprung in these parts.

I can't believe that just last week we were sitting outside enjoying the almost spring weather and then woke up to this crazy amount of snow yesterday.
I don't know but there is something about snow in April that I don't like.
Well lets be honest. Im not a huge fan of the snow in any month. But especially in April or anytime there after.
I do have to say that it was very pretty. All the tree's and everything were covered in snow and the skies were blue. It was awesome. But snow... really?
I know at least one person who loved it though. He begged to go play in it the second he woke up.
