Sunday Mimi
Mimi has begun to crawl in the last few days, and she's started to pull herself up against things as well. She's much happier with her new found mobility except when she's in the crib/holding cell.
Mary surprised me with an upgrade in photography equipment, so we'll try to get some video of her crawling in the next few days.

Rio Grande
Since the offices I support have split up, I find myself with two offices. The first one is the Rio Grande Train Station on 6th West and 3rd South.
This will make you cranky.
They recently found a photo which showed artisans hand painting gold leaf on the egg and dart decor in the grand lobby. When the state purchased the building, they just painted it white. . .
Big fan of the mezzanine above the gallery.
The train station was acquired by the state around 1980. They've turned it into a museum and offices for the Department of Heritage and Arts, Division of State Archives, and Division of State History. There is also a healthy presence of the Division of Arts and Museums which means we almost always have art galleries in the grand lobby. (That's pretty much awesome)

Farewell EA Sports Building
Both of the departments I support are moving out of the EA Sports Building on 300 S and State Street. I've only had my office there since June, but it was still kind of sad packing things up to move to a new location.
Goodbye EA Sports Building
Goodbye old hotel advertisement
Goodbye scary mural on the building next door
Goodbye State Street
Goodbye City-County building
Goodbye funny parking garage where the the floors on the parking level don't match the building floors so I keep forgetting where I parked.
Goodbye big cement pylons one of which I backed into once.
Goodbye waiting room with the department names on a big mirror
Goodbye worn, green carpet
Goodbye little office with the chairs that don't match
Goodbye view of the very top of the Salt Lake Temple from the north windows
Goodbye garden of black and white satellite dishes
