Mom's Passing and a Truth Crisis
Sorry - it has been one crazy year. My Mom passed away in April from cancer, so I have been taking care of my Dad. This has been trying because we are still dealing with Jacob's autism meltdowns. Arg...it has been a LONG, LONG 7 months.
On top of this, I had a truth crisis over two years ago. While doing some church history research, to prove my non-member friend was wrong, I found out that it was I that was wrong. Learning history that I had no idea happened and I having been a member for over 34 years (yes, I am that old) this hit me hard. I felt betrayed, sad, angry and lost. I had to let my husband know what I found, which happened over a year later. He took it well considering what I told him. If I haven't told you all already, he is a great guy and I am so very lucky to have him in my life.
The good news is, the church has admitted what I found over two years ago is TRUE and I wasn't on some anti-mormon rant. Even the church has finally come partially clean - the essay leaves out and misleads other information. I know...baby steps, little tiny baby steps!

WOW...What A Year (and more)!!

Illinois 2012
Two weeks ago was our annual family reunion in central Illinois. Jacob stayed home with Scott and Emily, Austin and I headed down. It was SO great seeing my family, a few that I haven't seen in years. It was a great trip, in which I didn't want to come home!!
