Speaking of Seuss.....
Okay, so if you love musicals, and you love Seuss stuff, you MUST go and see Seussical the Musical at Mesa High this weekend! Yes, it is a highschool play, but they did a GREAT job. (And I am often picky about musicals.) However, I have a feeling they will sell out--it almost sold out tonight--so I would go and get tickets at the library on campus ahead of time just to make sure. It is at 7:00P.M. Friday and Saturday this weekend. We saw Seussical for the first time a few years back and we loved it so much we got the soundtrack. So, we know all the songs and, man, these highschoolers rivaled the Broadway cast on some of their songs! So, go, take your kids, take a friend, or take yourself. It is a wonderful feel good show!!
P.S. I forgot our camera so we tried to take some on Jack's cell phone, but they were way too dark--hence no cute shots of the kids with The Cat in the Hat and Horton the Elephant.
P.S.S.---Mom, this new pic up top is from our trip to Sedona--SO many people told us how cool these shirts are--THANKS!!

Oak Creek and Sedona
Here's a few pics of our trip over Spring Break. It was very nice during the day, but the night was COLD. In fact, truth be told, we sort of wimped out.
We had planned on camping two nights, but on the second night we ended up heading out a bit early and stayed in our hotel in Flagstaff an extra night. My sister Melanie and her husband Matthew live there and we were going to visit them as well. (By the way--they just had a brand new baby boy--yipeeee!!)

Here's a few shots at the Devil's Bridge hike. This was VERY hard to find the trail head, but when we finally got there it was really worth it--the weather was great and at the very end on the way down it sprinkled a bit so the kids got all excited and started to run. I'm just glad it didn't pour on us!

Sometimes I wonder if all the packing is really worth it with camping-I feel like we are moving out of our home or something! But then, we get there, and the kiddos tell us how awesome it is, and they get around the fire with the marshmellows and tell silly stories and I think, "Yup, it really was worth that darned packing!" (However, I still want a little pop-up trailer--hee hee, husband, are you reading this? Yeah, as if you didn't know that already because I tell you I want one every time we camp.)
Logan is such a great helper--actually, this was a great deterent when I was getting all of our crud together.
Ella is so happy to be out of her pack for a bit of exploring here. It seems like every time we come to some sort of interesting rock formation we must always explore it. :)
Here's Devil's Bridge--all the other people that were up there with us actually went across the thing! They all said it really wasn't that bad, but yeah, I still thought they were pretty crazy. This is as close as we got--if Jack wasn't carrying Ella I'm sure he would have skipped across just to scare the begeezes out of me.
These other pictures are from Bell Rock--one of the famous formations in Sedona. This was on our second day there--again the weather was really nice for hiking. Just a bit chilly but nice and sunny. It was pretty fun seeing how far up we could go on the rock.
We also had a lot of fun visiting in Flagstaff with Mel and Matthew--alas, I have no photos to document! What was I thinking? It was a nice little getaway--we want to go back and camp there in the summer and go to Slide Rock.
By the way, a few commenters were shocked that I didn't know what March Madness was--well, I DID know that it had something to do with sports, and now I know it is football--right? Ha ha, just kidding--basketball! Thanks for the enlightenment--obviously not many big sports fans here in the Whiting household.
