Kaylix showing off his basketball skills!

Oh, my goodness, over 1 year since I have posted, and the last post that I did, I swore that I was going to post more this year.  I am now 2 years behind, it might be my news year resolution to keep up my blog!
My friend took these pictures of Kaylix at his first basketball game.  He was so excited to play, I love his little face so much!

I'm so bad

It has been almost 1 year since I last posted anything on my blog. I was over it! It seemed to hard to keep it up. But, I was looking at my blog tonight and I realized that I have missed out on a year of fun memories. And that makes me sad :( So, I am going to start posting things again. I don't want to miss out on any more memories.

Like this one, Corbins team WON the Championship for the Toys for Tots Tournament on Oct 12-14. They played so hard and so deserved this win!

ImageThey have a victory dance, and this night, they owned it!Image

See, why did I not keep up on things?!? I need to organize and put together what I want to add here and update, so that I can have these memories!

A run down on Major Events the last few months!

I am starting this post going all the way back to July and ending with the most recent fun!

In July Corbin turned 8 years old! I love this kid so much!

Grandma Bev set up for someone to come and take pictures of my kids, Kaylix of course would not cooperate!

We went hiking with the Becksteads up to Forgotten Lake, it was beautiful there!

Kaylix celebrated his 3rd birthday in August,
he was so excited that people were at a party for him!
Image
Kaylix also started Preschool, I am doing a co-op preschool with 2 other kids in our neighborhood, Kaylix has a lot of fun being with his friends!

ImageCorbin Started 3rd grade and has Mr. Everett, we really like him.
He is in Shauna and Brandons ward!
Image Chelsey started 4th grade and has Mrs. Campbell, she is really nice to!

ImageKeegan is back at Miss Karens preschool!
He has soooo much fun being there with so many friends from our neighborhood.

Corbin got hit in the mouth with a baseball that was thrown as hard as he could throw it by none other than his dad. We spent time at the emergency room and at the Dentist office the next day for his teeth to be repaired. It was not fun at all.
Image
Corbin played on an amazing team this fall.
All the boys got along so well and had so much fun together!

Keegan celebrated his 4th birthday in September.
He wanted a space alien costume and a space ship,
I got the costume, but had a hard time finding a space ship!

Keegan and his friend Austin's birthdays are 1 day apart,
so we had a little party for them with all their neighborhood friends.

Our ward had a Fall Festival for Halloween, Corbin took 3rd place in a pie eating contest!

We left town on Thursday October 29 for St. George for Corbin to play in a tournament.
Even though it was not that warm, it was warm enough for the kids to swim!
ImageCorbin got an in the park homerun! He is turning into the best little baseball player.
Image
ImageAfter the tourney, the parents had a fun party for the kids at the pool and played some Halloween games and they did a little trick or treating! It was awesome! I am not sure who had more fun, the kids or the parents!
Then we headed to Disneyland on Sunday. It was Halloween and so much fun there!
Image
On Monday, we met up with the Nebekers, who the 2 boys played ball with Corbin, they are the nicest people and we had so much fun hanging out with them all day.
ImageWe put Keegan and Kaylix on all the rides that they were tall enough to go on,
Kaylix still has not recovered from Splash Mountain, but they had a lot of fun!

This is our crew going on Grizzley Rapids
Image Tyler and Jaxton flew down and Spent Tuesday there with us!

Image Friday was my birthday, so my parents took us to Goofys Kitchen to celebrate, even though it was only Thursday!

Then on Thursday, we headed back to St. George to watch Chelsey play in her tournament. I did not take any pictures of her tournament. Probably because for some reason right now she is sitting the bench more then she is playing. She played 6 games and played one inning in each game, and they only won 1 game. We are not very happy with the way that her new team is working out. She is playing accelerated ball with her All Star team, they are now the Xplosion, but we are not sure if she will continue to play with this team or not.
Well, that is what has been happening the last few months, now that baseball and softball are over, maybe I can have a little more time to breath, but not likely! Corbin is going to play basketball and Chelsey wants to try Ice skating. I think that I am going to sign Keegan up for Hockey lessons, and then I need to find something for Kaylix.
And, I am so excitted for the Holidays to come! Hooray!

On your Mark, Get Set, GO. . . GO . . . GO

Go, Go, GO, that is what we have been doing all summer. This week Riley is on Vacation from work, but we just staid home because of all the things that we had to do this week. Yesterday Riley said "wow, we have been so busy this week that I am exhauseted!" Welcome to my world!

Chelsey has had a few tournaments this month. Last week she played at the Valley Complex across the street, which was nice to be so close to home! But, she got hit in the leg by a pitcher . . . it took her to the ground in tears!

ImageThey sent a runner out for her and she took a minute to ice it and elevate it because it was nice and swollen, then the next inning, she was back at it! She is tough!

They got to play under the lights, and she caught the whole tournamnet, which was awesome, she has not been able to catch any of the other games, but she did such a good job, they were all really impressed with her!Image
It has been a lot of fun, but also a lot of work for her to play all summer. We have been to a different tournament every weekend and she plays Thursday, Friday and Saturday, usually 3 or more games a day. Crazy!!!!

A lady that I visit teach, decided that her life was not all she wanted it to be. She had stopped coming to church, stopped letting us make appointments with her (but we showed her, we would just make surprise visits!!!) and just changed her way of life. Then one day a few weeks ago, she told her husband she wanted a divorce and picked up and moved to LA. I was shocked, but not. But she left behind 4 little girls. The oldest 9 and the youngest 2. That part I can't believe. I could never walk away from my kids, not for anything. But, it has given me a renewed appreciation for my own children. I was starting to get that point where you want summer to be over, then when this happened, I wanted my kids to be with me all the time. I can't imagine my life without all of them. I may grumble and groan about Riley's job and the hours that he has to work, but I appreciate that he supports our family and that he loves us enough to do what he does. Sometimes it takes someone elses mistakes to make you realize how good your own life really is. Not, that I really needed a reminder of how much I love my family, but just to appreciate them more than I was.

We are off to more games this morning!
