About Paul

Paul Sellers began his woodworking journey in a small joiner’s workshop in Stockport, England in 1965. Hand tool woodworking became his vocation, his passion for the craft matched only by his desire to pass it on to others.

In 2011, with years of in-person teaching in the US and UK under his belt, Paul started his YouTube channel with the help of his son, Joseph.

Paul’s tutorials enabled a worldwide audience to access woodworking information online, which inspired Paul and Joseph to create Woodworking Masterclasses in 2012. In 2018, they launched the sister site, Common Woodworking.
