Freedom

Freedom is the power or right to act, speak, or think without restraint or hindrance. While history is full of movements fighting for this right, 2 Corinthians 3:17 reminds us that where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. This means the Holy Spirit empowers us to live without the restraints imposed by the enemy or even by our own self-imposed limitations. If you feel bound, restrained, or chained in any area of your life today, remember that freedom rightfully belongs to you. You are encouraged to start a personal spiritual freedom movement, leaning on the Spirit to help you live a life defined by peace.

Many of us believe we are free until we experience the true depth of liberty offered by the Holy Spirit. Often, our minds are held in chains placed there by religious traditions or the traps of the enemy. While religion sometimes presents itself as a path to freedom, it can actually lead down a lane of guilt, fear, and misery. It operates on the fear of being punished or losing God’s love when we make a mistake. There is no true freedom in the constant thought that we are disappointing the Lord. True spiritual liberty replaces that fear with the security of His grace.

Anything that keeps you bound in a vicious cycle of overthinking is the opposite of the freedom God intended for you. To claim the liberty you have been guaranteed, you must call on the Lord and believe His Spirit can bring breakthrough. A practical way to receive this is to identify the specific areas where you feel stuck, bring them to God in prayer, and declare victory in the name of Jesus. Because strongholds are rarely built overnight, you may need to declare this victory repeatedly. Do not lose hope; as John 8:36 promises, if the Son sets you free, you are free indeed.

Spring is in the air

Friday was the first day of spring for many countries, with the promise of better weather and a world beginning to bloom once again. Trees are regaining their coats of leaves, animals are emerging from hibernation, and the earth is experiencing a true rebirth. It is a happy beginning that reminds us that no matter how tough the winter was, spring will always arrive. My prayer is that you experience a beautiful start to this season, regardless of how difficult your previous months have been. Nothing can prevent your spiritual spring from arriving because God is ensuring that flowers of joy and peaceful weather will reign in your life once more.

In nature, flowers require specific conditions to bloom, and if the showers come too early or too late, the process can be hindered. If you feel that God is not showering you with visible blessings at this exact moment, it does not mean your flowers will never bloom. Instead, it means He is meticulously preparing the right conditions for your growth behind the scenes. The absence of an immediate outpouring does not signify that He has left you; rather, He is lining up the perfect breaks for your major breakthrough. Trust that the preparation happening in the quiet moments is essential for the vibrant life that is about to emerge.

As the days gradually get warmer, we see a clear indication of the full bloom ahead. In the Bible, blooming is often associated with joy, celebration, and rejoicing, which is exactly what you can expect in this season. Isaiah 35:2 describes an abundance of flowers, singing, and joy where even the deserts become as lovely as the mountains. Even if your surroundings still look like winter, spring has officially arrived and is cracking the cold open to reveal God’s glory. Soon, you will no longer need the heavy layers of protection or sorrow as you walk through life. Get ready for the happy sounds of a new season, for spring and hope are finally here.

Your Best Life

The day I decided to make Jesus the central part of my life was the day I realized I already had the best life possible. I used to think that life would only be great once I secured my dream job, but I actually developed my deepest connection with Jesus while I was jobless and forced to rely on Him. He provided then, and He provides now. Your best life is not something that begins tomorrow or when you finally make it big; your best life is happening right now because God is its author. It is important to recognize that there is no truly good life outside of Jesus and to embrace exactly where you are today.

When you make Jesus the Lord of your life, the statement that life could not get any better becomes a spiritual truth. This implies that all of God’s promises and blessings are already yours. Even if they are not yet apparent in your physical circumstances, they are part of your life and will manifest according to His perfect timing. In John 11:25-26, Jesus identifies Himself as the resurrection and the life. Before we knew Him, our lives were leading toward death, but in Him, we have eternal life and access to heavenly blessings right here on earth.

Life can be measured by the world’s standards of material wealth or by the Lord’s standards of spiritual health. While the world suggests that security comes from possessions, the Lord shows us that a relationship with Him is the most valuable thing we can possess. Jesus came to give us life in abundance, a life so powerful that even if you were stranded, His grace would find a way to sustain you. Pray for a revelation from the Holy Spirit to see what your best life truly entails. Do not let the enemy convince you that you are lacking; you have an amazing life today.

Your fruit

While teaching students about exotic fruits, I was struck by how we often have to shake a coconut to hear the liquid inside to determine if it is ripe. This led me to consider the fruit of the Spirit, which consists of love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Just like natural fruit, spiritual fruit must grow and ripen, which requires consistent water and nutrients. We must ask ourselves if our spiritual fruit holds any water or if it has become old and dried out. The maturity of our character is often revealed by what sloshes around inside us when life gives us a shake.

God transfers these nine spiritual fruits into us through the Holy Spirit, allowing our spirit to work in partnership with the Spirit of Jesus. This process starts with love, which acts as the door to the transformation of our character. There is a sanctification process where the Holy Spirit gives our personality an incredible lift, making us more like the Lord. If someone does not experience these positive changes, it often means the fruit is present but is not being watered. The fruit remains waiting for the person to actively engage with the Holy Spirit to move the process of ripening forward.

Watering your spiritual fruit happens when you engage with the Holy Spirit through prayer, praise, and worship. One of the best ways to see the fruit ripen is to give in to the Spirit by practicing the very traits we want to see grow. If you desire more patience, you must practice patience, recognizing that the Spirit is the author of that peace. By consistently expressing joy, displaying kindness, and maintaining self-control, you allow your spiritual maturity to become evident to everyone around you. Eventually, the water of life will spring forth from your fruit as clear evidence of its ripeness and maturity.

Gratitude

While I was praying recently, the Holy Spirit encouraged me to develop a deeper attitude of gratitude by being grateful for who Jesus is, even more than for what He does. Gratitude is truly the best attitude, yet human nature often leads us to whine more than we thank. We are surrounded by people who speak the language of complaining fluently, and the more we hear it, the easier it is to pick it up ourselves. However, there is a danger in this habit, as the Lord never instructed us to whine our way through life. Instead, 1 Thessalonians 5:18 commands us to give thanks in all circumstances.

It is easy to take our daily blessings for granted, forgetting that what we consider routine might be someone else’s miracle. While we may expect three warm meals a day as a given, there are many who would view that as a significant breakthrough. A heart of gratitude sees everything as a big deal and rejoices over even the smallest details. Gratitude finds every possible opportunity to say thank you, recognizing that nothing we have is too small to be appreciated. When we stop underestimating what we have, we begin to see the abundance of the Lord’s provision in every area of our lives.

Saying “Thank You, Lord” is a powerful statement that confirms God is active in your life and keeps you in alignment with His Word. Obeying the call to be thankful is the beginning of wisdom, and the most crucial time to practice this is when things are not going well. Gratitude changes the atmosphere and places you on a level where faith can hold you up. When life gets tough, your attitude of gratitude should be even tougher. It is time to forget the lyrics to the song of complaining and make thanksgiving your daily melody. By focusing on who God is—His love, His Spirit, and His sacrifice—gratitude becomes a transformative way of life.

Your Miracle

If you are looking for a miracle today, look no further, because Jesus has everything you need. Miracles did not stop when Jesus died and resurrected; instead, resurrection power provides even more reasons to expect your miracle right now. When Jesus died, He took all the pain, misery, and death the world would ever suffer and destroyed it. He buried your trials, tribulations, and every situation that would leave you stranded on the island of hopelessness. His death was not a loss but a gain of eternal life for you and me. He brought life back after three days to stay, and with that life, He secured your victory. Remind your problems and the enemy that they belong in the grave where Jesus left them.

Miracles are supernatural interruptions of normalcy; they are God’s winks from Heaven that let you know He is active and watching over you. They change the course of time and defy adversity by altering your reality. There are miracles with your name on them, and God wants you to accept them with the same certainty you have that Jesus rose from the dead. Not believing that Jesus performs miracles today deprives Him of the power that never left Him and puts Him in a box where He does not belong. It is like looking at the Lord with shades on; you see who He is, but you miss the light and power that radiate from Him.

If you need a miracle, look to Jesus. While His grace and mercy can bring miracles at any time, faith is the key that accesses them. It takes faith in His ability to transform your reality and alter your destiny with divine intervention. He is still able to do this, and all He asks is for you to believe. As a child of God, you are entitled to the benefits that come with His resurrection. Make it your daily confession that your problems died with the Lord and your solutions rose with Him. Jesus conquered the grave so you could receive your miracle today. Your water is going to turn into wine, and your blessings are going to be multiplied.

His Name

During a deep conversation with a friend recently, the simple mention of the name Jesus caused tears to flood my eyes. I was completely overwhelmed by the beauty of His name and the magnitude of His sacrifice. We often hear in church that His name is above all names, but it is truly the name that surpasses all others in authority, love, and power. It is the one name that, when called upon, can change the most desperate situations for the best. Whether we need healing, transformation, or comfort, His name is the answer that remains the same through every generation. It is a name we should celebrate and cry out to daily.

I make it a point to talk to Jesus every day, engaging in meaningful conversations through His Spirit. I enjoy using His name as the bookends for my day, making it the first name I say in the morning and the last name I speak at night. A day spent without being conscious of Jesus feels incomplete, as He deserves to be at the forefront of our lives rather than on the back burner. His name is synonymous with salvation, freedom, and deliverance. When we use the name of Jesus, adversity must flee. James 4:7 encourages us to resist the devil, and using the powerful name of the Son of God is the ultimate way to intimidate the enemy.

It is a common habit to turn to God primarily when we face problems, but we should be calling on His name constantly. Deliverance through Him is not a one-time event; it should be a daily occurrence in both big and small matters. I once heard a story about a woman who used the name of Jesus even when her vacuum cleaner gave her trouble, reminding us that God cares about every aspect of our lives. We should make a deliberate effort today to speak the name above all names. As Acts 4:12 states, there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.

With Hope

A few months ago, I saw the movie Hacksaw Ridge, which tells the true story of Desmond Doss, a soldier who refused to bear arms during WWII. He saved many lives in the trenches without using a single weapon, eventually winning the Congressional Medal of Honor. He served the Lord by serving people, acting as a bridge between God and his fellow soldiers through the greatest weapon of all: love. His connection with God allowed him to be a light in the darkness, bringing hope where there was none. If you ever feel like a soldier in the trenches of life, know that there is hope available to you. Your purpose is not to destroy, but to edify, help, and connect others to the Lord.

Many people view life as a battlefield where they must fight every day just to survive and make ends meet. While the Bible confirms we are in a war, Ephesians 6:12 clarifies that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual powers and authorities in the unseen world. It is a daily battle, but we have a daily victory in Christ. Because the war has already been won, we can move through our daily lives with confidence and hope. Even when you feel like you are in the trenches, you do not need to fear or worry, because the backdrop of your life is secured by His triumph.

Hope in the trenches is a powerful tool that guarantees a great outcome in any situation. When you feel overwhelmed by the fight, brandish that hope high and mightily. Like Desmond Doss, let love be the backbone of everything you do, allowing it to push you to distribute hope to everyone around you. Be generous with this gift, letting others know that in their worst-case scenarios, God has a best-case synopsis. Hope is an everlasting light that believes in solutions and positive results. If your mind is the battlefield where you wage war the most, refresh your memory with God’s promises and use the truth as a serum against fear. As you give hope to the world, God will continue to supply it to you.

Through Him

Philippians 4:13 is a verse that many people love, but including the declaration that you can do all things through Christ in your daily morning confessions can truly change your perspective. Using this verse consistently provides a significant confidence boost, not in your own abilities, but in what the Lord can do through you. It helps shift your heart toward a state of healthy dependence on Him. If you are wondering what is on God’s agenda for you today, it is simply this: you can accomplish everything set before you because He provides the power to get it done and more.

The enemy has his own agenda and often tries to twist the truth by suggesting that you should find your strength in the world rather than in the Lord. He uses various mechanisms to make us world-dependent, knowing that relying on the world for ultimate help is a recipe for disaster. While we live in the world and use it as a tool, we must never let it become our source. 1 John 2:15 warns us against loving the world more than the Father. We must learn to view God as the primary source of our strength and the world merely as a tool He uses to help us reach our destination.

Another trap the enemy sets is trying to convince us that we can do all things through our own power. He loves to inflate the human ego by making us feel that our special gifts or abilities are our own, rather than recognizing they come from the Lord. An inflated ego can clutter our relationship with God, but when we put Him first, He allows us to rise above every challenge. The Message version of this verse beautifully states that whatever we have or wherever we are, we can make it through anything because of the One who makes us who we are. Since Christ gives you the strength, you can expect to succeed, shine at work, and be a great witness. There is truly no limit to what you can do.

Blessings are on the way. They are coming and they will be delivered to you. Thank God while the good breaks are on the way. They will make it to you. They will reach you and they will enrich your life. Keep thanking God!

If you need to hold on to one thing, hold on to the fact that God is good. God is good all the time. All the time God is good. Anyone that says otherwise, does not know God!
