THE CONQUERED: Just a dying star away (Quadromolan Book 1) Kindle Edition
Lurking in the background of this imaginative tale is an entity known as "The Vindijan Line," who are seeking out Dramkick for a life debt. Stranger still is who they want killed and why.
The story begins with Dramkick doing a routine check of his elite soldiers the Vor Me. Dramkick kills a weak link in the Vor Me in an explosion of disgusting murder. This act will lead him to question his own sanity and crippling loneliness. The conjunction of his stewardship of 4 solar systems and Dramkick's want to search out his true equal in the universe stand at the center of this instantly absorbing creation.
With great authority and equally great economy, The Conquered expands to become a portrait of power, its hierarchies, its hidden mysteries, and the ever shifting power structure-most significantly-its indelible cast of characters.

About the authors

Hi everyone I’m happy to be on Amazon. I’m a Maine writer and I live in Portland. I’ve been to The University of Southern Maine where I studied English Literature. I also attended Vermont Technical College where I studied Architectural Engineering. I love reading, cheeseburgers, and the outdoors. I write everyday and would encourage anyone who is serious about writing to do the same. I love movies and especially the original Point Break. My favorite book is Dune and The Dome is a close second.

John has been writing for 15 years. He’s penned 51novels, 1novella, and 1 book of short stories titled Short Stories for the Long Haul. It’s been a crazy stretch of time. All said, the warm winds have occasionally blown his way. In all honesty he’s just happy to be alive!

- Reviewed in the United States on December 16, 2014Format: KindleVerified PurchaseWriting a book where the main character is also a bit of a villain is a daunting task to undertake. Not only do you have to convey the dark side of your character, but you have to also structure the character in such a way that the reader can’t help but love him/her. Buckley pulls this off in a fantastic manner! As a lifelong lover of science fiction books, I appreciated every aspect of this work.
Buckley delivers a fast paced and action packed work that leaves you wanting to read more. Each character is described in great detail, making you feel as though you were seeing them with your own eyes.
I highly recommend this science fiction adventure for anyone looking for a unique twist on the genre. Dramkick is an deep and, at times, mysterious character. And although you read the work through his eyes, you’re never quite sure what he has up his sleeve, so to speak.
