Cameron Mitchell: Back to Indy
Mitchell re-signed with the Colts on Thursday, Amanda Foster of the team's official site reports. The cornerback played on 225 defensive snaps across eight games with the Colts last year, recording 18 tackles (14 solo) and four pass breakups. Bradley Pinion: Heading to Miami
Pinion agreed to a deal with the Dolphins on Thursday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports. The punter and kickoff specialist has been serving in both roles consistently for the past 11 seasons with the 49ers, Buccaneers and Falcons. Pinion led the NFL with 36 punts inside the 20 in 2025. Tycen Anderson: Joining Denver
Anderson agreed to a deal with the Broncos on Thursday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. The fifth-round pick of the Bengals in 2022 has seen a grand total of 64 defensive snaps in his NFL career, though he has become a consistent special-teams player, seeing over 300 snaps in that role in each of the last two seasons. Powell had a rough game from three-point range, going 1-for-5 from distance and not getting his first triple to fall until the fourth quarter. Herro has scored 20 points in back-to-back games, but he's also been a bit careless with the rock, coughing up a total of eight turnovers. Yusei Kikuchi: Starting Game 2 with no limitations
Kikuchi is slated to start the Angels' second game of the regular season -- which will take place Friday, March 27 in Houston -- and is expected to be "full-go" for that outing, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports. Kikuchi spent much of his time this spring with Team Japan in the World Baseball Classic, but he had a small workload, tossing just four innings across two appearances and giving up three runs on seven hits with a 5:0 K:BB. The southpaw recently returned to the Angels and started against the Royals on Thursday, tossing 4.2 innings during which he allowed one run on two hits and three walks while fanning two batters. Kikuchi worked up to just 64 pitches in the start, but even with Opening Day just a week away, it sounds like the club feels that Kikuchi will be able to handle a full workload right away.Read More -

Francisco Alvarez: Lifted Thursday due to tight back
Alvarez was removed from Thursday's Grapefruit League game against Houston due to back tightness, Max Goodman of NJ.com reports. Alvarez struck out in the third inning in his only plate appearance and was replaced by a pinch hitter in the fourth. Mets manager Carlos Mendoza said the backstop's exit was precautionary, though it's not clear if Alvarez will miss additional time. Tyler Fitzgerald: Optioned to Sacramento
The Giants optioned Fitzgerald to Triple-A Sacramento on Thursday, Evan Webeck of the California Post reports. Fitzgerald's performance dropped dramatically last season, as he finished the year with a .217/.278/.327 slash line after having posted an .831 OPS the year prior. His offensive woes have followed him into spring training, so the Giants will send him to Triple-A to get back on track.Read More

Zibanejad scored a goal and added an assist Thursday in a 6-3 loss to the Blue Jackets. The assist came on the power play. Zibanejad is on a three-game, four-point scoring streak that includes two goals and two assists. He has 13 points (five goals, eight assists) in his last eight games; one goal and five assists have come with the man advantage. Zibanejad has been a true bright light on Broadway this season despite the team's miserable spot in last place in the Eastern Conference. He has 29 goals, 37 assists, 29 power-play points and 179 shots in 68 games this season. He's flirting with a potential 80-point season if he can keep firing. If he can pull it off, it would be Zibanejad's third season with at least that many points.Read More -

Shesterkin made 31 saves in a 6-3 loss to Columbus on Thursday. New York is last in the Eastern Conference with 64 points and is five points behind Florida, the next closest team. Shesterkin is doing his part, though -- he's 22-14-6 with one shutout, 2.56 GAA and .912 save percentage in 43 starts this year. That GAA is 12th best in the NHL among goalies with at least 21 games played. His save percentage is eighth best. Shesterkin's 22 wins put him in a three-way tie with Dan Vladar and Jakub Dobes for 15th overall.Read More -

Greaves made 22 saves in a 6-3 win over the Rangers on Tuesday. It was Greaves' first win over the Rangers' elite netminder, Igor Shesterkin. He was locked in a duel with Shesterkin on Nov. 15 that ended in a 2-1 shootout loss for the young Blue Jacket. Greaves has gone 10-0-2 in 12 starts since Rick Bowness replaced Dean Evason as head coach on Jan. 12. Overall, Greaves is 23-12-8 with two shutouts, 2.61 GAA and .909 save percentage in 42 starts this season. His numbers are eerily close to Shesterkin's 22-14-6 with one shutout, 2.56 GAA and .912 save percentage. Greaves isn't that good, but his season certainly is.Read More
