A 12-year-old girl tragically died Sunday following a vicious fight that erupted when a group of students got off a school bus in an Atlanta suburb.
Footage shared by the family, which has since gone viral on social media, captured the violent incident unfolding Thursday in Villa Rica. The victim involved was identified by her family as Jada West, who reportedly had been bullied since transferring to the school.
A child is beaten to death in the middle of a suburban street in broad daylight. Surely Atlanta-based CNN is all over this shocking story. No wait, CNN apparently has not mentioned Jada West.

To get his hands on more money to fund leftist social engineering, NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani is trying to extort Albany into raising state taxes.
Estate taxes are among those he wants higher. As Investing.com reports,
Mamdani is pushing to reduce the state’s estate tax exemption threshold by nearly 90%, from over $7 million to $750,000, while raising the top estate tax rate from 16% to 50%.
Only 12 states even have estate taxes, which are imposed on top of federal estate taxes. Mamdani’s proposed threshold would be the lowest of them, meaning the fewest people would escape having their inheritance raided.
Mamdani says raising local taxes to still more outrageous levels will slow the exodus from the degenerating city. Seriously:

No wonder identity groups vie so aggressively for cherished “marginalized” status. City Journal reports on a program intended to bestow benefits upon supposedly oppressed blacks in San Francisco:
Known as the Dream Keeper Initiative, the relaunched program will grant $36 million to “community-serving organizations,” including some that have offered “Afri-centric” mental-health services, African ancestry DNA testing, and free doulas for “African American birthing people.”
“Birthing people” is Liberalese for women who really are women.
The reason we pay taxes is so the government can provide crucial services in return, such as police protection. Where liberals have consolidated power, these services are neglected in favor of more selectively beneficial priorities:
The Dream Keeper Initiative was founded by former San Francisco Mayor London Breed in 2021, fulfilling her promise to redirect police funding to “the African American community” in the aftermath of George Floyd’s death. In February 2021, Breed announced that the city would divert $120 million from its law-enforcement budgets to fund the program, which would in turn funnel money to a web of left-wing nonprofits.
The idea is for whites to pay more into the government than they get in return, so that blacks can get more than they pay for. Those who do not enjoy being effectively enslaved through taxation on the basis of their race are denounced by liberals as “racists.”
Dream Keeper funded a down-payment-assistance program that made “homeownership dreams real for a growing number of Black people in San Francisco”; a $2.2 million grant to “Black trans-serving organizations” that promised to “improve outcomes for Black transgender people”; and a program that recruited black educators to teach the city’s black students.
Unsurprisingly, the program has been characterized by corruption. Lurie called Breed on this while campaigning against her in 2024. Yet now he has relaunched the program.
As part of the Dream Keeper Initiative, the Homeless Children’s Network has secured lavish funding…
…which will support “Afri-centric, trauma-informed community health and wellness services.” HNC also operates the Ma’at Program, a form of “Afri-centric” therapy named after the “ancient Egyptian concepts of truth, balance, order, harmony, and justice.” This program, also funded by the original Dream Keeper Initiative, employed black therapists to treat black patients purportedly suffering from “trauma brought about by racism and homophobia.”
More extravagantly favored even than blacks are blacks who identify as LGBT:
The Lurie administration also earmarked $450,000 for “The Transgender District Company” to provide “safe-space programming,” “legal name and gender marker clinics,” and an annual “wellness fair connecting participants to affirming care.” The organization, founded by three black trans-identifying women, also hosts an annual “Riot” party to celebrate the “Compton’s Cafeteria Riots” of 1966, during which “transgender and queer” activists clashed with police in San Francisco’s Tenderloin District. Last year’s “Reparations is a Riot!” party featured a lineup of all-black drag queens and listed the City and County of San Francisco and the Mayor’s Office of Housing & Community Development as sponsors.
In no sane world would taxpayers be forced to fund this sick lunacy. Yet if liberals prevail, San Francisco will serve as the template for the rest of the country. The two top candidates for the Democrat presidential nomination are former SF Mayor Gavin Newsom and former SF District Attorney (and before that Mayor Willie Brown concubine) Kamala Harris.
